0 MrJxt
Yes Slash makes them bleed. Impact staggers. Puncture lowers their damage output. Edited January 5, 2016 by MrJxt

0 Ibro156
Slash best for flesh unit Impact best for shielded unit Puncture best for armoured unites Also what MrJxt
0 Kihana
Where did you get that info ? The wiki says nothing about that. That's because it doesn't ignore armor. Only finishing damage does that. @OP. Slash, Impact, and Puncture are base damage types that each have their own status proc effects. 0 Demonfr34k
Where did you get that info ? The wiki says nothing about that. I got it from my clan mate so it may be wrong, also keep in mind the Wikia is NOT Made by DE
0 direcyphre
I got it from my clan mate so it may be wrong, also keep in mind the Wikia is NOT Made by DE But everyone who plays high-tier missions knows that puncture most definitely does not have any part that ignores armor. This is why corrosive is so well used, because it halves armor, and nothing else has quite the same effect on those infinitely scaling enemies. 0 Adrakal
Puncture does not ignore armor or grant therein, may be confusing with bleed damage ignoring armor. As for corrosive? To clarify for direcyphre and anyone else it's 1/4th, not halved.

0 NinjaZeku
Finisher and status proccs~ The only status proc that ignores Armor is Slash's Bleeding, which ~deals Finishing damage~ :P
0 (PSN)CoolD2108
The only status proc that ignores Armor is Slash's Bleeding, which ~deals Finishing damage~ :P Huh true, had to doublecheck this...seems like DE actually bothered to code them to different elements. A shame. Well, toxic at least ignores shields...
0 (PSN)robotwars7
full elemental rundown, for reference: - Slash works best against Flesh enemies (red health Bar), and causes Bleed procs which can ignore Armour. - Puncture works best against Armour (Yellow Health Bar), and reduces enemy damage. - Impact works best against Shields (Blue bar), and staggers enemies. - Heat burns enemies and causes them to Panic. works best against Flesh. - Toxin Bypasses Shields to affect Flesh/Armour, very good overall - Electricity stuns enemies, and works great against Shields. - Cold slows enemies, and can affect all enemies, but is arguably less useful. - Radiation (Heat + Electric) confuses enemies, making them fight each other. effective against Grineer, and Void enemies to a certain degree. - Gas (Heat + Toxin) stops enemies and chokes them, works great against Infested - Magnetic (Cold + Electric) destroys shields, and is devastating to Corpus. - Corrosive (Toxin + Electric) halves armour when procced, great against Grineer, ad the go-to for most along with Heat. - Blast (Heat + Cold) knocks enemies down, leaving them open to Finishers. kind of meh otherwise.
