Right now, scanning enemies is only yielding about 70 standing TOPS, and I need a couple hundred thousand...what am I doing wrong? 0 Maicael Posted January 6, 2016 Share Posted January 6, 2016 You have to have accepted the target from him at the Relay. Whatever that target is you run missions that contain that enemy type. IF there is a target within the mission Simaris will tell you at the beginning of the mission right after Lotus' transmission. The target itself can be "followed" by looking for floating directional patterns leading to it with the Scanner. If you have your scanner out Simaris will also point it out when you're within some distance from it. The target itself appears similar to an eximus unit and has much more health than surrounding enemies. They will usually try to flee instead of fighting. Talk to him and he will tell you the target for the day and how many scans you need. Head off, do the scans. Most scans get you about 3K in standing. Come back to the relay and talk to Cephalon "All up in yo' grill" and he'll give you some bonus standing points. That's pretty much it. Return tomorrow for new enemies to scan(?) You can also just scan anything in general with the scanners and get some minimal points, but you need to scan the actual targets for the big points. Be careful with taking sentinels, kubrows, or deploying spectres because they will sometimes kill the target before you can scan it, (and then Simaris wil be pissed off). EDIT: I guess you need to finish certain quests to get the daily targets.
