What Warframe Should I Use For "void Spelunking"?

i want to try a prime warframe but i need to find a non-prime warframe that'll keep me intact for a t3 or t4 mission.

what should i try to get? i already have an ember and a rhino

The differences between prime and regular frames are minimal. So long as you have your mods at a high enough rank, take some decent weaponry and play well - you'll be fine in higher level void missions.

Can't go wrong with Frost, you can protect yourself with a bubble and immobilize large groups of enemies for a decent amount of time, and he has tanky base stats to boot.

If you want to tackle late game, it's worth picking up Chroma. He's one of the most ruthlessly durable frames in the game, and he can make basically any weapon in the game hit like a truck. If you want to take a beating and deliver a bigger one, accept no substitute. Except Valkyr, who is more durable but doesn't hit as hard.

Ember and Rhino are both fine choices, just use their CC.

Max Range Firequake + Accelerant spam Ember is nigh untouchable, Rhino Stomp has always been strong.

 

For face-tanking everything, Wukong's Defy is pretty ridiculous,

Mesa's Shatter Shield only has to fear melee doods,

a Shield of Shadows build on Nekros is fun and drastically increases his survivability.

 

Back to CC, Nyx is fun and should easily have room for (Rage + Flow +) Quick Thinking,

max Range Mirage can lock down everything with Prism's Blind effect, Excalibur can do this on a smaller scale,

Nova's Molecular Prime is still amazing, as is a Bastille spam Vauban, yay max Range Rest Equinox.
