Fps Drops After Alt-Tabbing

When I alt tab out of the game, the game tends to have a framerate of anywhere from 5-20...this is the only game that does this when I switch to look something up real quick, and I'd like to know why... :/

 

EDIT: Just to clarify, this is not ALWAYS the case, just maybe 90% of the time.

i used to have this issue as well... i found that it was a steam related thing... so what i did was i disconnected from steam and downloaded the game directly from the warframe site. after giving it a few weeks the tennogen stuff came back and i decided to redownload it (made sure that the game was a completely fresh unmodified copy, because i used injectors before hand) and after reinstalling it through steam it seemed that the problem fixed itself.

 

however i think that the best course of action is to simply reinstall the game as a completely fresh copy (can be done by going to the game files installed through steam and putting a "~" in the front of the game folder name.

 

this is assuming that you have the game installed through steam.
