Volt_Cruelerz
I'm not trying to complain here, but after probably 30-40 Pluto missions (most were Hades) since the patch and not getting anything decent, it's starting to seem like the drop rate may have been nerfed too hard. I don't know.. It's getting discouraging as to whether or not there's something out there for me to get without grinding for hundreds of hours. I haven't seen a fire mod in a week I haven't seen a puncture mod since the patch I haven't seen a multishot mod since the patch I haven't seen a decent blue mod since the patch (the ones I do see are often outdone by green ones and sometimes even white ones!) I haven't seen an energy efficiency mod It just feels a bit discouraging that I haven't found much in that time. I'm certainly not saying to return it to how it was previously where I found two good multishots in a day but I feel like you ought to be able to get something periodically. Idk.. maybe I'm just unlucky, but that is how things seem to be. I've played other F2P's so I'm not trying to complain about the grind rate which is actually pretty generous overall in this game. It's just that you're grinding based so heavily on luck with a decent chance of zilch. I'm not necessarily advocating mod fusion (which as most have proposed, I rather hate) or any number of other systems. I'm just simply stating my experience. I hate to say it, but honestly, I feel like I'm wasting time when I'm trying to farm mods now and it shouldn't have to feel like that. Perhaps it is just bad luck that is causing this, but to grind, you have to have something in your sights and be able to head towards that knowing you'll get there in order to stay motivated. After so much of nothing though, expectations drop and you lose sight of what you were hunting for. Once again, I'm not complaining about the drop rate being too low. I'm saying the feel of grinding at this point is one of futility and I think that should be changed, though I'm not sure how. Otherwise, the eternal grind is going to get very boring very quickly. EDIT: for clarification, "the patch" refers to the hotfix change that modified how mods are dropped and where; also, even before the patch, I did most of my farming on Pluto EDIT 2: https://dl.dropbox.c...es Mod Run.xlsx this contains a test in which I ran 10 Hades games to see what mods I'd get. I don't know if they drastically increased the drop rates some time in the afternoon/evening or if I just went from unlucky to semi-lucky, but those are the results. There's still much much better mods out there, but at least these were better than what I'd gotten previously. GIMO
I agree... on the rare occasion a mod drops lately, it's always an underwhelming mod with near useless stats..
nzzero
To be honest i havent seen a fire, multishot and energy efficency mods in two weeks as well. Playing rank 30 char most of the time. In the meantime ive gotten a S#&$ton of armor mods. Some mods just seem to drop 100x ,more often then others.

Cathulhu
Found my very first multishot after a bit more than 40 hours of playing. No fire mod yet. Never heard of an energy efficiency mod before.
Ced23Ric
Out of the office, but I agree on some of the types. Will check out what is going on here. We get loot radar, armor and melee damage for frames. We get fire rate, damage, critical damage, armour piercing damage, freeze damage for weapons. We get melee damage, critical damage and fire rate for melee weapons. We get tons of S#&$ mods in white. We get a few green ones that are 50% better than their white counterparts. We get blues that are 50% worse than their green counterparts. We get melee whites with 100% critical damage. Most drop according to critter level, but some named ones drop rank 1 or 2, regardless of equipped stuff or critter level. Mods are poopy. No fun, no hybrids, not even in Pluto. Ced23Ric
The best I have seen is rank 30 pistol mod with +25% damage. But that's it. I found one of those. One.
Volt_Cruelerz
I think the best damage I've found was a 16% rifle. At rank 30. ;_; I've found and sold about a dozen white 15% ice mods though lol. Edited January 20, 2013 by Volt_Cruelerz
Kse_
I get at least 3 mods after every mission. A few days ago I had 9 mods in a single mission. Yesterday I earned 30k credits selling the new mods. Now granted, most aren't very powerful. Best I have is +14% damage and +24% freeze damage (both rifle). BTW what's loot radar good for? I have a bunch of those. Edited January 20, 2013 by Kse_
Volt_Cruelerz
I'm not having issues getting mods, I'm having issues finding good mods. Theres a huge difference :/ And loot radar is more or less pointless unless you can't find the distinctive looking containers that flash every so often. Ced23Ric
I get at least 3 mods after every mission. That is not the issue. The issue is that they are all crap. :)
AsianJoyKiller
Jeez.... Wish I had your guy's luck with drop rates. In the past 14 Pluto missions I did, I've only gotten 2 white mods out of it, despite methodically killing anything and everything that so much as twitches. Ced23Ric
ive been getting mods that are good on neptune, trition. pluto seems to be broken, but neptune does not appear to be As broken. Since all mods draw from the same base loot table and are multiplied via their ranks to achieve their final outputs, I can assure you, that is a perceptive fallacy. Yet, what defines good? Good used to mean a blue mod with +38% clip capacity and +75% critical damage. It used to mean +70% melee damage and +50 health. Are you seeing anything like that? Hammercannon
umm ced, mods are glitched right now, so no i can assure you that pluto drops white mods with lower stats then a rank 26 white mod. where as neptune drops rank 26 mods that have good stats. can actually be blue/green. also you do get some rank 30 mods here on trition. just not as common, but they have better stats then the ones on pluto, ive done some extensive testing, farmed all saturday on pluto got garbage whites. been farming today and gotten much better greens/blues/whites then anything on pluto. Hammercannon
not seing anything like that, mods are to broken for that good of drops. ive gotten a 15% armor piercing 20%stun pistol mod 15% crit chance rifle mods. (on pluto all i would get are 10% whites, on neptune i get 15% whites) Green Rank 22 20% electricity dmg shotgun mod, on pluto best i could get was a 15% Rank 24, 21% dmg shotgun mod, on pluto all i could get was 15% Blue Rank 26 25% dmg gorgon mod, on pluto all i could get were 15% ( i have about 30 15%in my bag atm). oh and im talking about farming hades for mods on pluto. And triton for farming mods on Neptune.
MrWednesday
I agree mods drop rate are way too low. Especialy on Pluto where most of the mods are faulty and not worth the effort players put in (ex: blue lv 30 gorgon mod give 50% crit dmg, meanwhile a lv 27 green rifle mod gives 97% crit dmg)
DreamerNeon
And loot radar is more or less pointless unless you can't find the distinctive looking containers that flash every so often. Lol'd. But yes, when I started playing I got ?*"#!load of armor, shield cap, shield recharge, damage, melee and other mods, and now I haven't seen a rank14+ mod in a week. And for christ's sake stop giving me shotgun mods!
