Transforming A Regular Warframe Account To A Steam Account

Basically, I want to get in on the tennogen stuff and that is understandably only available to those who downloaded warframe through steam. Since I downloaded the game directly from the main website, do I have to uninstall it and then reinstall through steam?(which isn't that big an issue for me) If I do reinstall via steam, will my account remain the same or will it use a new account with my steam profile?

Any help at all would be appreciated.

You can link your Warframe and Steam profile just like you can link your Twitter and Facebook profile (or something).

 

No new accounts are made in the process.

yeah, you'll get a popup on first opening via steam launcher, where it asks you if you want to link both accounts, after that you can deinstall steam version again... (removing it from your steam library)

You don't need to do a full reinstall to get it under steam.
