Can Someone Explain How To Calculate Reload Time?

It's a pain trying to understand, and the wiki's formula just confused me even more.

Am I at least right when saying that having 100% more reload speed cuts the reload time in half?

The formula is close to many formulas used. It's Base Reload Time / (1 +  Reload Speed Bonus).

So, for example, the Braton has a reload time of 2s.

 

If I were to have a Reload Speed Bonus of 100%, essentially a bonus of 1, the calculation becomes.

2s / (1 + 1) = 1s

 

Effectively, my Reload Time is halved.

Reload Value * (-"Fast Hands"%) = Reload value.

 

E.g.

 

A reload time of 3 seconds, adding a maxed Fast Hands of 30%, formula on excel, if you want to redo it with any other =

 

3 * (-1.30%) = 2,1

 

=A1*(1-B1)

Yes, that's it. And it's not that hard to understand. The mod shows you a percentage, so in fact the XX% mod bonus will become 0.XX in the formula. With Quickdraw, you'll then get (Reload Time) / (1 + 0.48), for example.

That's correct.

 

Think of it this way: if you were walking at a constant speed, and you increased your speed by 100% (ie you doubled it), then you would get to your destination in half the time. 100% travel speed increase results in 50% less travel time.

yea the misunderstanding is the % thing.

 

50% reload speed sounds like it should cut the time in half, and 100% sounds like you should instantly reload.  This isn't the case, its just words on the card can make some folks interpret it that way.
