Rushing things that you shouldn't have to wait for - You know, like quest gear, or parts 4. Trade-able Weapons, Frames, and Mods that are unavailable - They'll undoubtedly come back one day, but who knows when. 3. Orokin Reactors and Catalysts - You can get them from alerts and even sorties, but it's really rare. 2. Cosmetics - It's the only way to obtain them. 1. Reactors and Catalyst are extremely rare so will end up shelling plat on those unless you only use the same setup all the time. Cosmetics because they cant be aquired any other way. Need them to build up variety in your toolbox of gear for doing high level stuffs. 2) Cosmetics. 3) Trading for mods and syndicate stuff. - At this point you can get all normal, nightmare, corrupted, stance and syndicate mods very, very cheaply. If you want something that's really rare or costs a lot of rep, don't go farming rep to switch syndicates or try to kill 10,000 electric crawlers on some obscure node no one is playing. Just go buy the thing on trade chat. Then go back to playing where you want to and being with the syndicate you think is cool. "WTB: <mod name>. Please PM me with a price." Buy the lowest offer and send the other offers a polite decline. Anyone who PM's you and starts talking about offers and negotiating like they're on pawnstars, just close the tab. I had no problem buying ivara, for example... removal of annoying grind for a few bucks? Yea, Ill do that. Potatoes, really rare to come by them Things you should only buy if you are not concerned about spending plat: 3. Forma or Exilus adapter 4. Things you can only get from Trading since they dont drop anymore (primed mods, prisma weapons, vaulted primes) 5. Cosmetics, mainly items you can ONLY get via buying them with plat 6. Rather spend plat then wait for RNGesus to bless you after 200 mission trying to get that ONE item (kubrow egg, Ivara part, Equinox part, Weapon (prime) component) 7. credit/affinity/resource boosters Things you will regret wasting plat on: syndicate items (you can for trade them with some effort) Rushing an item in foundry Buying item in Market/Darvo for plat when a little bit of grinding you can make them yourself (see #6) Things you should NEVER spend platinum on: credits resources Edited January 11, 2016 by kkinnison Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Syndicate / rare weapons that are a pain to obtain 5. Rare mods (Primed, Syndicates, Event mods that are no longer available) only if you need No so important but for personal preferences or nice to have 6. Color packs 7. Kubrow egg / Stasis slot 8.
