Random Slowdowns

I've been playing this beta for about three weeks now. Really enjoy it. Reminds me of Phantasy Star Online.

But with the release of the most recent patch, 5.4 I think, I will get random -massive- FPS drops and delay which renders the game unplayable.

I've updated all of my drivers, set the game's graphical options to low, turned off all background programs, increased the page file (which it shouldn't really need, 8 GB ram) and defragged the HDD. The only difference now is that the spikes are shorter, down to around 15-25 seconds from 1-2 mins.

I can't find any consistent event that corresponds to these slowdowns, and a more powerful computer than mine is having similar issues.

the game isnt run from the servers its run from the game host the player who is leading the group :P so its by their or your computer being able to handle the stain

There's some wonky stuff going on with host uploading. I've noticed my FPS dropping to 30 when I get full parties.

I should mention that this has been primarily while playing solo. And that my friends whom have better machines have experienced similar problems while playing solo.
