Framerate limit in main menu

I think there should be a some kind of framerate limit in menus. Let me explain... During the game everything is ok, but when in menus i can hear that fans on my graphic card and cpu speed up a lot. I think its because framerate is too high and it's causing that gpu and cpu are generating too much heat. When i turn on v-sync everything goes back to normal state, but v-syn is causing lag input and i dont want to use it.

As far as i remember Starcraft 2 had that issue too.

What do you think? Does anyone else notice that?
