I Had A Dream..

So, now that Excalibur Umbra is coming out soon, for some reason, I had a dream of playing as it last night.

 

DE probably already made his abilities and stuff but I thought it will be fun to share what I "saw".

 

I will put in italics what I didn't "see" in my dream.

 

This is what I remember from the stats and abilities purely from the feel:

 

Stats

 

Instead of the usual Excalibur and Excalibur Prime, Excalibur Umbra is a tank or at least felt tanky.

 

It probably had more HP, Shields and armor.

 

1st Ability

It wasn't Slash Dash.

 

He actually threw an Exalted Blade like the motion of a glaive which flew forward, bounced around some enemies, and flew back.

 

2nd Ability
 

It was the same motion as Radial Blind but it was black light.

 

Probably a blackhole or something and it pulled enemies closer to him.

 

The radius was pretty large too.

 

Probably should still stun the enemies so he don't get ganked.

 

3rd Ability

 

No idea. Probably because I never really use his Excalibur/Excalibur Prime's Radial Javelin much.

 

I guess probably something that does the opposite of Radial Javelin.

 

Maybe a pure CC ability.

 

I don't know.

 

4th Ability

 

It was like Exalted Blade but then it wasn't also.

 

It was a sword and shield.

 

There was no auto-parry.

 

The shield when raised increased running speed and blocked 100% damage from the front.

 

There were no waves from the sword either.

 

 

I think it felt different but still pretty cool. Not sure how it will work in real life but it was pretty interesting in my dream.

Excalibur Umbra's abilities are going to be different from Excalibur Prime and Excalibur.

 

So, Slash Dash's not going anywhere.

 

Anyway, I don't know what DE has in store for Excalibur Umbra so we will just have to wait and see.

I read it somewhere on the forums.

 

I remembered there was some talk about the Umbra system.

 

Either way, anything on Umbra now can be taken with a pinch of salt.

 

We just have to wait and see what's in store.

If it's not confirmed by Devs, it is a speculated rumor.

I play Excalibur with Natural Talent specifically for Slash Dash. 

But Natural Talent makes Slash Dash shorter.

I don't use it for travel, I spam it at close range to build up combo, so it actually hits 10k per hit.

Ah, that's why.

I preffer my godlike fly-around-the-world Slash Dash though. I think it does around 6k damage.
