The Forma update: "Resource Costs Are Being Readjusted"

ContinueReading-TF-RCABR.jpg

Quote

In wake of Warframe’s most recent update, players have cried out that the resource costs for new items are disproportionately higher than ever before. This was not the first time a sudden and steep escalation in resource costs took place. However, it certainly was the most dramatic increase players had seen yet and players understandably cried out over it. Digital Extremes came forward with an announcement late last night to address the player concerns raining down upon them on the official forums.

Check the site for the rest of the (satirical) story! Curious about how the crafting resource costs have shifted over time? Check out the Resource Cost Log which shows the full costs of crafting all of your equipment.

Editorial update: "Analysis of Warframe's Market Prices"

ContinueReading-E-MarketPrices.jpg

Quote

At some point in the time you play Warframe, you will visit the Market. The Market is where Digital Extremes (DE) blends together the in-game currency (Credits) and the premium currency (Platinum), serving as a pit stop on the path of progression within the game. It is one of the few systems within Warframe which has not been revamped or updated alongside the other elements of the game.

The full article featured on TCN addresses a variety of Market items and the costs associated with them versus the benefits provided by them. The Credit Bundles, Fusion Core Packs, Mod Packs, Void Key Packs, and Purchasable Warframes are all analyzed to make a case to revise and update the Market to match what the game has become.

Edit: This article now has a sister post here on the Official Forums for discussion.

A local System Tenno emerges triumphantly from yet another clan’s Dojo after successfully completing a trade. Two Tenno had entered, but only one would survive the trade. For the other, the Dojo would become their final resting place once the trade was finished.

The Forma update: "Internal Data Shows 88% Of Rathuum Groups Not Adhering To Meta"

ContinueReading-TF-11.jpg

LONDON, ONTARIO—After a week of data collection during the Operation: Rathuum Event, Digital Extremes published a report detailing the most commonly used equipment. Much to the chagrin of the team which had designed the event, players were not utilizing the established meta for the event.

Check the site for the rest of the (satirical) story! Do your part and help re-inforce the meta, Tenno.

Reminder: Rathuum ends on May 9th at 2:00 PM ET. Rathuum missions 1, 2, 3 and Kela's Court will be permanent additions to the game so don't worry about missing out on your chance to earn the new mods and Twin Kohmak blueprint.

Editorial update: "A Primer On Optimizing Mod Ranks"

ContinueReading-E-pomr.jpg

Quote

In Warframe, the core of your strength does not actually come from your equipment. Some weapons are certainly more powerful than others (MK1-Braton vs Braton Prime, for example), but your true strength comes from Modules (commonly referred to as “Mods”) installed onto your chosen equipment. As you progress in Warframe, your mods will be crucial for advancing to higher level areas.

The full article featured on TCN goes into detail on certain mods and which should be equipped at rank 0, which are worth obtaining duplicates and keeping them at mixed ranks, and which should only be equipped above a certain rank. Keeping duplicates of mods is a good practice in order to mix-and-match ranks.

The Forma update: "Stradavar Weapon Review"

ContinueReading-TF-12.jpg

Quote

The Stradavar was added to Warframe in Update 18.11.0 as part of the Tenno Reinforcements. Though this new rifle does not boast extraordinary damage, it provides a unique new feature of being able to alternate between fully automatic and semi-automatic on demand.

Check the site for the rest of the (satirical) story! Or don't. It's not like it can compare to the Tonkor anyways.

The Forma update: "Digital Extremes Addresses Controversy Surrounding Vauban Prime"

ContinueReading-TF-13.jpg

Quote

Thousands of eager Tenno plunged back into the Void this week to begin their hunt for the new Vauban Prime parts which were released in Update 18.12. Shortly after the update arrived, controversy broke out as players discovered the crafting costs for Vauban set record resource requirements in almost every category. Digital Extremes has already taken some action to appease the Tenno by reducing the Oxium requirements from 14,000 to 7,000 (Hotfix 18.12.1) but many players still feel slighted by such high costs. In addition to steps already being taken specifically to the Vauban Prime Access update, Digital Extremes has announced a long-term solution to re-establish trust with the community.
