Starting solo is a no-go

One of the most annoying things I've had a problem with is trying to start a public game by myself. Unless there are no open squads it's basically impossible. I mean why on earth can't I just host an open, joinable game with three empty slots, instead of either going completely solo or joining a potential trainwreck in process. Seems like common sense that's apparently not so common.
