Shanduul
New frame: Impulse Armor: 65Shield: 200Health: 150Energy:250Speed: 1.30 Role: localized Crowd control and vanguard assault Bio: impulse is the embodiment of speed. using the four rocket thrusters on his back to propel him to tremendous velocities, warping time around him to control the battlefield locally. Explanation of use: Impulse’s powerset uses a “gear shift” mechanic in which you can trigger the abilities starting with the 1st then 2nd then 3rd then the ultimate to get the most potent effect, this will cause the effects to become cumulative, tacking on several mobile buffs/debuffs to you as you move. However this costs more in the long run than just triggering the 3rd and letting it charge (which is less potent).Giving a good trade off between speed, damage and efficiency. The powers themselves use the energy-over-time mechanic like exalted blade or peacemaker, with exception of his fourth ability which is a straight 100 energy. while any of the first 3 abilities are active they will use a similar to mesa's ballistic battery, where the ability charges over time. however the value in this case displayed indicates the percentage of the maximum speed for that ability you have reached. while moving forward (or in a general forward direction) this value will continue to climb, if you stop, strafe, hit a wall, or move backwards. the ability will slow, stop, then shrink until you can start moving again. it should be noted that sprinting has no effect on this charge-up. If this meter reaches 0 you will automatically be bumped down to the next lowest tier or reset to normal if you were using the 1st power, once it hits 100 you are able to trigger the next ability for the maximum potency. Knockdown and cold procs will pause the meter while death will disable them. Impulse's final power, lightspeed, is the only one that cannot be triggered at anytime. you must be moving at maximun velocity in the 3rd power to activate it. additionally it will disable power's for a short time (5/4/3/2 seconds) after use to prevent power spam. Powers: 1) Ignition: impulse ignites the rockets on his back and accelerates to faster than sprint speed. This applies a speed boost to impulse alone. -cost: 15 initially, 2 energy per second after -effect: applies a 1.2/1.4/1.6/1.8 times speed modifier to you (after activating you sprint modifier) -charge: 15 seconds to max speed 2) Hypersonic: impulse strengthens the rockets on his back and reaches supersonic speeds. -cost: 30 initially, 5 energy per second after -effect: increases the speed buff to 1.8/2.0/2.2/2.4 times and appies a blast proc to all enemies within 2/3/4/5 meters -charge: 15 seconds to max speed if triggered in order, otherwise 20 seconds 3) Relativistic: impulse accelerates to relativistic speeds creating a field around him that slows all enemies and projectiles within it. -cost: 45 Initially, 10 energy per second after -effect: creates a field around impulse that grows as you accelerate to a max size of 2/4/6/8 meters and applies a 0.5 speed modifier to enemies and projectilies -charge: 15 seconds if triggered in order, otherwise 30 seconds 4) Lightspeed: impulse exceeds the speed of light causing time to stop. -cost: 100 energy -effect: all enemies and projectiles freeze in place, no damage can be taken during the duration of lightspeed and all hits are applied after the ability ends. as you move you leave a trail behind you that detonates with a blinding flash at the end of the duration, deals massive blast damage 500/750/1000/1250, and ragdolls all enemies. -duration: 2/4/6/8 seconds Appearance: (not well thought out and very tentative) Male in form, sleek and limber with a matte finish. Reminiscent of the space shuttles with White primary with Black secondary and Grey accents, orange energy color. Four Thrusters are oval in shape and located on the back of the frame, along the sides under the shoulders (the upper set are about where your shoulder blades are and the lower set are just below the rib cage). Helmet is shape like a bicycle sprinting helmet with harder edges and a more pronounced curve towards the back. Shanduul
forgot to mention that this frame is intended to be VERY hard to use correctly and is meant to promote player skill while reducing "press 4 to win"
Senoinya
"Gotta go fast!" Yeah, not to hate on your idea or anything, but... With the 1 and 2, how exactly does this prove different from Volt's Speed other than being "really extra fast", and how does his 3 do anything different from Nova's Molecular Prime? The only thing really unique is his 4, which I really don't see how that's not 4 to win given what it does.
Shanduul
no problem. the idea is to create a more localized form of volts speed honestly (after all that is what the idea stemmed from), while providing said speed with a form of localized crown control. hence the blast and slow procs you can apply passively just by being there. his one is basically just speed, just slightly cheaper and of variable duration. I did forget to mention however that all procs are cumulative so the "slowfield" essentially applies as mobile cover from projectiles while you can run around and apply that blast proc. as for "push 4 to win" the reason i said that it discourages that playstyle is because (unmodded) the fastest you can spam it is once every 45 seconds, lots of power all at once but not really spammable. Tythbalt
too fast, way too fast like to the point of probabbly being uncontrollable. all his abilities need a redraw, (except his 4, i actually like that one). The base of the concept has a lot of potential but when you slap 2 identical abilities into different buttons you need to revaluate your abilities. Hunter126
I'd want to make a speed warframe. I might make one the abilities well, they're mostly uncontrollable, plus 3 energy per second, 5 energy per second, 10 energy per second even if these are after that's an insane amount of energy. If i were to not be able to control this frame, I wound't adapt that much, especially with these abilities, i'd rather just leave it and not use it(or tbh open up a warframe slot and not buy it again). The name of the 2nd Ability says hypersonic but you're going at just supersonic speeds and both hypersonic and supersonic are insane speeds. first there's being able to control your frame then there's the possibility of breaking or running off the map. by the sounds of it the 4 abilities sound like they work together for Impulse to be at his best, yeah I don't play on maps large enough or enough enemy swarms for this to actually last and be useful, I like abilities that can be really useful individually as well as a possible use together. the idea of a speed warframe is good, its probably why i've attempted it but the abilities need to be more in control and much much easier to adapt to, there's no need to rush somewhere. -LW-Trix
Well, we got Protea, Gauss and Sevagoth who can do something similar, but i'd also like that idea (totally not because im a Speed-Gauss player)

Don't really see what separates this warframe from Guass.
