More than 1K shields, more than 500 HP. Hek was a sniper, Iron Skin invincibility on a swarm of infested in the old xini map.

 

So that's how we used to level up in Update 6.

That was fortunately the overpowered fun times I had with my Rhino :D

I liked the mod stats better back then (75% melee damage!) but not the fact you couldn't max out the frames. Although this gave a level of customisation, and consequence (it was generally either spec for as many mods as possible, or for passive stats/skills).

The fact you couldn't do it all annoyed me though.

The recent mentions of mods with multiple stats gives hope that we can get back some of the old mod styles (with white, green, blue being the rarity/relational 'power')

I started when the game had 1 or 2 months in Open Beta(when it was Added to Steam) :l

I wish I could saw those mods :C

After a lot of farming I get a Gorgon, but is focking nerfed(so innaccurate)..

You know, something like this could still work as an alternate advancement path.. I was thinking it could be a little more "specific" like they are trying to do mods, except NO ONE is going to take an ice resistance mod over damage simply because they have a slim random chance to run into an ice level..

 

Unless they start allowing mod changes DURING missions, then those "specific" mods will more than likely become useless.. A tree could allow people to spec into special things like that without having to sacrifice damage (which no one will be willing)

I miss those static bonus nodes! My 6.x level 30 rifles and shotguns had higher ammo capacities and fire rates unmodded, than the 7.x+ versions with maxxed mods.

Now everything's underpowered, the highest shields I've got is 930 on my volt/rhino.
