Alan remembers the "scent" and opens the picture.

The object unfolds to reveal a picture. Judging by the scene details, it was taken in an armory during a night shift. There are two entities on it – one of them is an arguably younger and definitely better-shaved iteration of the man that was sitting nearby right now while the other one is a female with a noble yet smiling face, chestnut-brown hair gathered in a simple ponytail, a pair of warm hazel eyes with jade tenno-ish energy circles near pupils. The man sits at the dimly-lit workbench, surrounded by various tools and spare parts; he fiddles with primed vectis’ receiver mechanism, probably trying to either maintain or to upgrade/replace it; there is a maroon beret hanging from the rifle’s muzzle break; the woman stands right behind him, using his shoulders as a basement for her elbows; her locked palms support her right cheek as she looks down at the man with a smiley face of someone who has caught their pet at doing mischiefs during nighttime by surprise; the man grimaces back with a surprised - if a bit awkward - and embarrassed smile of a tomcat that mentally readied himself to endure incoming “punishment by cuddles". There is another detail to the picture: it seems to be made at a small angle, which leads to the conclusion that it has been taken quickly; also, there is a small obscurity in one of the frame edges which states that whoever took it wasn’t proficient in photography enough to not to cover the objective with fingers. Judging by the actors' faces and the overall emotional context of this photo, one would probably have problems guessing that the shot was taken in the midst of the most global and dreadful conflict in the history of humankind.

Regardless the excitement of this story-digging experience, a voice of the more recent version of the person depicted on the photo broke the silence.

“Any new details?” he asked while being more curious about what was Alan doing before actually opening the photo.

"I like you." Richard's voice was cold and detached, but his mannerisms made it clear that he was sincere in his declaration.  His anger seemed to be directed elsewhere.

"Lead on, Alice."

((@Denny2669 doot XD))

"To your office I presume?" she asked.

((NOBODY DOOTS ME BUT ME!))

She taps Ares then mouths "Who is that?" She subconsciously moves to hold one of her throwing knives

"That." He says loud enough for the other passengers to hear. "Is a man who tried to usurp and discredit one to whom he owes his life."

"It was an act." The other Tenno says. "And I was pardoned."

"By the Arbiter, who sees more good in people than is there." Ares says. "Not by me."

She lightly grabs Ares' wrist "Calm down. We don't want to arrive angry for such a beautiful event." She continues to keep a hand on her knives

"Listen to her, lad." The Excalibur says. "Today isn't about past grudges."

Ares says nothing, but his eyes do not leave the other Tenno.

He Tells Teloch what he found.

"I regret I could not find out more." He says. "Tak may have better luck investigating the imprints."

After listening to this "sort" of investigating, the heavy developed more questions than answers.

"What do you mean by "unreachable"? Do you can tie the memories with particular places?"

"I can trace them, if we can find where they originated." He says. "But there is no trail from here to where they lead."

Siger tilted his head sideways. He was certainly processing this bit of info. Then, after throwing a swift glance at the "tailed" bush, in which his pet almost completely hid herself, he took his greatsword from his back and mutely handed it to Alan.

{investigate the object} {try to read the memories tied with the object} {ask the meaning of this} {give it back}

Unlike the photograph, the greatsword hosts the absolutely immense amount of memories and data. There seemed to be no end to them - memories of numerous fight, snapshots of its owner emotional states over lengthy period of time, sounds, feelings, sights, faint spots of the entities that came in contact with it, the deepest memories of how this object was created and the clues of a person that seemed to be the co-author of this piece of weaponsmithing art. Perhaps the unbelievable volumes of memories have something to do with the quality or the intensity of the greatsword's usage, maybe people are right when they treat their tools as living beings, or perhaps it appears bottomless because of its partially crystalline composition. Prismatic minerals are stones, and stones are known for their surrealistic capacity to store information.

{examine the object closer} {try to datamine for something} {ask what must be found} {give it back}

Alan examines the memories of the co-author of the art, hoping to find who may have helped make it.

The mindscape print feels like an intricate kaleidoscope of forms, shapes, patterns, and is accompanied by the vibrant symphony of the singing steel. The mindscape brush is both intricate and simple at the same time, stating that the co-author was probably a lesser orokin or an extremely passionate artisan. There is a whole set of emotions tangled with this greatsword and the studied person: passion, strife for perfection, discipline and dedication to the smallest details, systematic approach, scorching desire to perfect the weaponsmithing school that created this item, a little drop of either insanity or geniality, echoes of mighty erudition and capacities of allegorical thinking, great will to aid those who are fighting on the frontline with his creations and even greater wish to pass on the knowledge of this school to their apprentice. The manufacturing of this sword was an examination of skill, a test of diligence and understanding how to make tools that would fit various individuals ideally. This sword's cooperative creation was the apprentice's test and the gift to him at the same time. Among other emotions, there is a distinguishable and yet unique feeling of the triumph and pride of a master who succeeded in raising their successor. Beyond that, the greatsword hosts memories of how much time and efforts it took and the place where it was "born". It is a big military-purposed tower hidden deep in the far reaches of the void. The sight of the place unzooms, making it a panorama first and the slight dot in the endless tides of the void after. It continues to unzoom, revealing its approximate location in relatively to void clouds and streams. Perhaps, it is a good idea to mark the place while the memory is fresh.

{ask for a portative NAV interface to mark the approximate location} {try to memorize the location or mark it with own means} {inspect the item closer} {give the item back}

Alan copies the imprint, preserving it and the location.

He inspects the weapon with his eyes, admiring the craftsmanship.

The greatsword is quite remarkable from the close inspection: it is compositive, its blade was cut from the wholesome lump of a certain prismite deposit; the total length of the weapon is slightly shorter than the same of primed Galatine but this sword is considerably heavier than its straight siblings due to the unique material composition. The blade replicates the ancient "flamberge" design, featuring the wave-like antiphase blade that narrows closer to the tip, the willow leaf-like head of the tip for additional piercing capacities and more remote center of weight, the blade's trough is reinforced with fine plating that extends for the 2/3 of the blade length, and acts as the interlocked pressure seal for the whole construction. Such unique blade form allows to slash through the layers of enemy armor and to cause terrible lacerations to all things organic. The greatsword has the main handle and the rarely seen in conventional orokin weaponsmithing schools upper handle which is situated right above the main guard and below the secondary guard; this construction states that the owner decided to follow such unconventional design pattern in order to utilize the wider range of fencing techniques. From the decoration standpoint, the greatsword is more spartan than something you would normally expect from orokin craftsmanship - the most noticeable piece of decor is the shield-like crest that serves as the main guard's core and hosting a writing on it;

the main guard's beams are sculpted to imitate some predatory avian's wings; the pommel is sculpted to imitate a serpent head. Instead of the energy lines that are normal to primed galatines, the blade's through plating is pulsing red with a spanning row of glowing words.

 By the reversed side of the sword - right at the backing "main guard shield" - two master labels can be found: a minimalistic taurus head and the equally minimalistic lion standing on its back paws.

The purpose of its partially crystalline construction becomes obvious once the owner touches the waving blade, making its midnight red (almost black) matt surface burn with fire from within the stone. It appears that this flamberge conduits and focuses its owner's madurai powers as if it was his natural extension. Basically, this artifact brings the proverb which says that "each sword is but as good as the one who wields it" to the ultima.

Anyway, the heavy slightly shook the object, shaking Alan from contemplating state he sunk into.

"So what did you find? Was it the location of my platoon's stationing HQ?" he asked still not entirely believing that his frind can literally read objects.
