Being proactive

Recently, there have been waaay too many posts about how certain weapons, warframes, and even enemies need to be changed.  It's always buff this, nerf that, ash needs an ultimate rework, etc. All of this is because of an inherent thing called "power creep" that happens in so many games.

There are two things here that I want to mention regarding power creep.  1st of all, if certain weapons seem better than others, it forces you to move to the next best thing.  Although you may have invested tons of forma into the current version, and now the new "op" version is out, people seem to immediatly call for a buff of the old weapon, and/or a nerf of the new one.  This practice from the warframe community is getting very old, very fast.  While it's a little frustrating to see your old weapon go to waste, that doesn't mean every weapon needs to be the same dps, and you should get the new version and invest in it, if you like it.

The second thing is this, The game has to move on, in order to incorporate new material and new play styles.  On DE's end, it would be bad practice for them to be spending so much time trying to fix their "mistakes", rather than possibly ADDING NEW MATERIAL that pretty much requires players to use more powerful weapons than before.  Instead of buffing old weapons, they make new ones!

I do not work for DE, but knowing how things generally progress for the better, and actually end up making permanent improvements, we must allow DE to be proactive by adding more powerful items before they add harder content, rather than knee-jerk react to fix something that is unbalanced.

The problem is that neither the community, nor DE, have been proactive about learning about, or controlling, power creep. If we weren't in such a state that we had such glaring imbalances (Zenurk/Naramon vs the other 3 schools, Tonkor and S.Simulor vs all other weapons, etc), then we might be able to consciously move on and not feel any form of regret.

As it stands, it really is an injustice to see new weapons getting released that are neither on par, or even viable, compared to even mid-tier weapons when equipped with mods that accent their best features, and are not advertised as a weapon intended for a lower ranked player (especially when said weapon is gated behind a high MR wall).
