It is dark. I can't hear a thing, only a subtle humming. A vibration coming from seemingly everywhere. I can't move. It is cold. My body aches everywhere. Something snuggles against my body like a second hide. It is everywhere around my body.

I remember a conversation.

Someone with long hair tells me about a "cool new game" that seems to be in some sort of "beta".

I remember visiting a website. I also remember doing research on said game and trying to get a "key".

I hear a hissing sound, like air streaming out of a vent. It gets a little cooler.

I try to move my eyes. I can't figure out if they are opened or closed, it is still pitch-black.

A lot later. The other person tells me there is some sort of "founder"-thing going on.

A cascade of beeping-sounds reaches my ears. I hear the rambling of machines. The darkness that is my world shudders. I feel the gravitational pull of being moved. It gets warmer by the second. The vague feelings I had on my skin get more distinct. It feels like waking up. With a lot more pain to it.

I achieved some sort of "founder-status". I am downloading something.

"Unfreezing-sequence initiated. Commencing protocol T-14354/09."

Again that hissing sound. Only louder. I get the feeling I can soon start to move. I gets reasonalby warm inside my darkness. And brighter. I can make out shades of diffusing colours.

I finished the download. I get kinda excited and I log in.

Blinding brightness forces me to press my eyelids shut as something in front of me gets moved away.

Suddenly I get a strong push in my back and I topple over into the brightness.

"Unfreezing completed. Protocol has been executed. Welcome back."

By body burns. It hurts. I can't see a thing.

"Where...", I manage to stutter out into the brightness.

"You are located on a hidden space station not far away from Mercury. It is time you come to your senses."

Something stings me in the crook of my left arm. At the same time the brightness seems to take on different colors and moves a lot more. I realize I am still pressing my eyes shut.

As I open my eyes I recognize I can now clearly see. The first thing I acknowledge is the floor I am facing. After which I quickly manage to notice I am lying face down on the floor. As I try to stand up, I become aware of my body. The burning has subsided and I feel strong now. I quickly work myself up on my feet and muster my surroundings. I am standing in a sterile, almost empty room of polished steel. The only interesting thing is the cryo-capsule behind me. So that's why it was so cold. Heh.

A HUD comes into my field of view. I hear the voice from before.

"So then, Tenno. Shall we begin your training?"

Greetings!

I hope you enjoyed reading the little story I substituted for the "how did I learn about this game"-part.

I am an IT-specialist from germany and I enjoy RPGs, FPS, strategy and MOBA games. My hobbies are playing mentioned games, watching movies and TV-series, reading books and chilling on my sofa.

I hope we all have a lot of fun together. I only joined recently but I am already enjoying this game a lot and I think it has great potential.

Sorry, being a little lazy with details now. It is very late at night here.

Hail to the king, baby!

You, my brutal friend, had some of the most brutal introductions I have ever read in this forum. I have seen some of your other posts and I can tell you and I will be great rivals friends! I can tell you are as dedicated to warframe as most of the other grunts on this game! I hope we meet in game someday so we may test each others skills against the Grineer!

This ones for you!

Thanks for the compliments, guys. I was a little concerned people would not like the little story since I myself was a little disappointed about how it turned out. I intended the short sentences to transmit a feeling of step-by-step discovery but to me it feels like I just transmitted the feeling that the author can't write worth S#&$ :) Anyway, glad you like it.

The Exceeded my expecations for an intro.

Badum-Tsss ;)
