Awful performance after SotR on laptop

After the Specters of the Rail update the performance is a lot worse than it was before. The framerate is much lower now. Before the update it was constant 60+ fps with no drops, but now it's always around ~40-50 fps with insane drops to ~10-15 fps happening very often. My GPU load is also around 95%, but everything else is fine.

I read on another forum post that other people with laptops were having the same issue, so I think it might be related to laptop GPUs specifically but I don't know. I'm no expert.

Anybody else have this issue? Do you know how to fix it?

edit: I forgot to include specs:

- GPU: GTX 960M
- CPU: i7 6700 @ 2.6 ghz
- 16 GB RAM

You have the edition with a desktop CPU?

nevertheless I get Similar performance with a more OP rig then yours but still yours should run fine in the high 70ties.

Can't help you with this because recently Warframe is Running HORRIBLE on all machines.

My rig:

  • MSI Z97 Gaming 5 Motherboard
  • Intel Core I7 4790k CPU running on 4.8 GHz OC
  • Antec Kuhler H2O 920 Water Cooling
  • MSI 4GB D5 X GTX970 Gaming 4G Graphics cards in SLI
  • Crucial 32 GB DDR3-1600 RAM DIMM Memory.
  • 250GB Crucial SSD .
  • 4x 1TB Western Digital Blue HDD in Raid 0.  game installed on this and so far no bottlenecks had this before with one HDD
  • Cooler Master G750M, 750 Watt PSU
