I opened the locker, the star dropped through the floor. Friend came along, it was there for him. He waypointed it, and the waypoint pointed all the way back to spawn. Ran all the way back to spawn and there it was. Somewhat related, also had an instance of a map-spawned sculpture not spawning entirely for a different friend. I found it, grabbed it, they showed up, nothing there. They weren't in affinity range when I grabbed it, but not far. If it helps that was in the Void tileset.
