The_Great_Mighty_Shpee
While i move my camera around, a strange overlay appears on my screen. It looks like shattered glass/water running down a window. (No, my computer screen is not broken >:) It only appears on camera movement so it could be a motion blur bug, but i'm no expert in such matters. Nep_Blanc
you running on full screen? If so its called tearing when your gpu pushes more or too less frames each time it can get out of sync and give your some strange artifact on your screen called a tear. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Screen_tearing it looks something like this Chao, The Roaring Lion
The_Great_Mighty_Shpee
@TheRoaringLion - Thanks for the reply, but no. I know how tearing looks like and this can not be it. As for the fullscreen - i'm playing in borderless native and as i said before, my problem looks like water running down a glass surface, no straight lines in sight (like in your picture). Sometimes it even looks like a silhouette of my warframe, which made me think that this problem is motion blur related... There are similar reports on the forums, this is definitely a game bug. Nep_Blanc
Okay can you give me your Nvidia/AMD settings and in game settings? I have to see what could be the culprit. Also SPECS please it can help a lot to debug/fix this. Chao, The Roaring Lion
[DE]Linkski
If you take a screenshot would you be able to show us? Or is this something that only appears on your monitor?
Kyrak_Drakhar
I had this before, do you have max setting for FXAA, the experimental one? if so go down one setting to medium (i think, at work so cant get specific names) it should clear up. At least mine did.
The_Great_Mighty_Shpee
I turned off motion blur and the phantom cracks are no more. And here we can see what happens when i turn it back on. My specs; Intel core2duo 2.93 GHz | 4 GB RAM | GPU Nvidia GT 220 (yea i know it's old don't judge me *cries evritim*) Most of my settings are turned off, 'cept for "blur reflections", "glare", "motion blur", color correction" and the last three that have no effect in my opinion. My AA is SMAA on medium. Anisotropic filtering is at 4X.
KesslerCOIL
Best advice I could give is an upgrade honestly, that GPU is very very old and I definitely recommend at least a Quad Core and 8GB of RAM for warframe. The 550ti is relatively cheap and allows you to run Warframe on ~medium settings pretty consistently. EDIT: Ok apparently production of the GTX 550ti has slowed down or stopped, I'd recommend a 750ti since they are roughly around the same price range that the 550ti used to be. Scherhardt
Seems related to my problem 'bout motion blur being buggy on low end systems. Thread here. I also get this when i try to fix my black spots issue. I just keep trying to min/max the game until its gone when motion blur is on.
