SevenLetterKWord
The game should clearly communicate discrepancies in the functionality of powers between PvE and PvP. For example, let's look at Nekros's abilities. Soul Punch: In Conclave, Soul Punch deals knockdown to a single target. As far as I can tell, no "soul projectile" is involved. Terrify: Terrify applies a half-damage debuff to enemies in range. This is reflected in the numerical stats, but not in the ability description. Desecrate: Besides creating a 25 health orb, Desecrate a player's corpse will allow the caster to see that player through walls for a brief duration after they respawn. This mechanic is never conveyed to the player in-game. Shadows of the Dead: Shadows of the Dead provides immediate respawning for the caster's team for the next two minutes. This too is reflected in the numerical stats, but not in the description. This is a significant change which, dangerously, is also quite subtle in practice. Players casting Shadows of the Dead may not even realize that such a buff has been applied, and thus conclude that the ability is entirely useless. Soul Siphon: I don't think this passive works at all in Conclave. Many other powers also carry unlisted mechanic changes. Banshee's Silence doesn't stun enemies or limit their perceptions. Frost's Freeze doesn't freeze anyone in their tracks. Nova's Null Star, Hydroid's Undertow, Loki's Radial Disarm, Titania's Spellbind, Tribute, and Lantern... These unlisted changes constitute an entry barrier of knowledge, making it difficult for new players to adapt to Conclave. Updating the ability descriptions within the Conclave arsenal would help to alleviate these complications. Doomsknightmare
Totally agree. Not even in conclave, many ability descriptions in PVE lack detailed info that players should know. I always learn a new warframe from warframewiki rather from the lame ability description.
SevenLetterKWord
Updated post to reflect personal experimentation with Nekros. (Just confirming statements that I wasn't entirely sure about originally.) Also, here's a decent community-maintained resource for curious players to consult in the meantime:Warframe Abilities in Conclave Not perfect, but much better than anything available in-game.
