Posted November 12, 2016 Share Posted November 12, 2016 (edited) I was kinda hyped about the Riven Mods because i thought it was something veterans can really farm for to get perfect mods, but no. Acquiring the mods: Sorties, really? The only way for me to get a new mod is wait 24 hours and then play 3 missions? And then it's not even guaranteed, it's random. It wouldn't really be a problem if rerolling rerolls the WHOLE mod (weapon, stats) and not only the stats. Just give us the option to grind for the mods (high tier missions) and not sorties only. The hitbox for headshots is just terrible. EDIT: people are still writing comments to help me after a whole month. Stop, please. I already got it. Did it with a high fire-rate Supra with almost no dmg mods, on a high level survival mission, after gathering about 20 enemies in 1 line. Also: Penta shouldn't work anymore, you can't get headshots with it after the nerf from a few months ago, unless you hit the enemy straight with the grenade without making it explode. I'm at MR 16, and I doubt most people want to get a new mod and have it locked behind MR 18+ at random.... Ideally, it would work like Aura slots work on frames. If would make up for the RNG nature of the mods, the hassle of unlocking them, and the high MR requirements. It gave me a crappy Paris mod which gave +3.2 Punch Through and +112 flight speed, whilst also lowering damage dealt vs Infested. The MR requirement is 16. Overall its crap. Why would I even consider using it in the first place?.. Drain is over the top, and faction-specific damage bonus is completely nullified (and then some) by the total damage penalty. Xzorn Posted November 12, 2016 Share Posted November 12, 2016 Wait walls are how Raid and Arcanes work, Syndicate missions. Focus, just about everything they've added in the past year. I personally hate wait walls but it seems they have no other course of action to preserve value of something. I'm more concerned about the mod drain costs. When Primed Cryro Rounds went live there were multiple posts about how it wasn't possible to maintain build diversity and I personally countered many of those posts by explaining how it could still be achieved. However it's for sure not possible to maintain build diversity if you want to use a Riven mod. Given the nature of mod stats like multi-shot and %damage, Riven Mods will likely just take the place of a mod like Bladed Rounds instead of the one's they're likely intended to replace on many weapons. And did anyone notice the Riven Capacity 1/15? This would lead me to think you can only have a total of 15 Riven mods ever. So even if you RNG them into others you can only use 15 total weapons with Riven mods forever. If you happen to work up to 15 perfect rolls then good luck on any sense of progression. Mine was Get 34 kills with headshots without triggering an alarm, so that took a while, the mod was + ~55% dmg to Grineer + 2 punch thro, MR 10 lock but only for Buzzlock. Against goonies it's a dps up 100% sure (and a big one not factoring crits). Against other factions I really don't know, needs calculations. But you got seration and Heavy Caliber for damage(+165%x2) so it is not a real 77.2% loss. It roughly halves one of those mods efficiency for almost 200% crit chance. According to the actual value of crit on Simulor I'm really unsure. Against grineers the 59.6% is truelly multiplicative (additive only with bane of the grineers) and is a huge up by itself(not factoring the crit upgrade, wich is huge on that weapon) With maxed mods you hit at 430% dmg so putting that you will lose less than 20% effective dmg.(completly negated against greeneers) but I suppose ALMOST negated by the crit gain alone and strictly worthwhile with the extra value on vital sense mod. You can try rerolling it, but take care of fake ele mods that may F*** up your damage composition And multishot (ms is a bane on this weapon). Best things for simulor: > crit damage (as simulor does headshots pretty easily) > crit chance (as you gain almost 20% crit chance with your affix wich is huge) > Faction damage (NOT UNIVERSAL) > Toxin = Lightning damage (as fully modded the weapon gets only 2 ele mods so you can use this as a replacement or as another significant damage gain) > Damage > Clip size > utility Edited November 12, 2016 by Galuf Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

It has a lock saying Mastery 12 but I don't get it I'm Mastery 17 shouldn't I be able to use it? Also does anybody know how to farm Kuva?
