Joining mission in-progress spawns you at the start instead of at Hosts location

Twice now I joined a mission in-progress and got spawned at the start of mission, with grate animation and all that, while the host has already cleared over half of the map.

Additionaly the objective marker is bugged then and it's hard to find the way to host by yourself.
