Why not link Riven disposition to chance of getting that weapon?

DE said they didn't want to let us choose what weapon our Riven mods for as otherwise we'd just end up with Soma, Boltor and Tonkor Riven mods... So instead we end up in a situation were the only Riven mods people care about are for.... Soma, Boltor and Tonkor... Yeah.

Since DE have introduced a Riven mod disposition system why not link that into what weapon the mod is for? So for a high disposition it will always unlock for that weapon (I.E. the weapon you equipped to do the challenge), with an average one it will be 60% and with a low disposition it will be 30%?

Then if I want a mod for my opticore or Ignis or Torrid I can actually have more than a snowballs chance in hell of getting one.

You could even have a system that looks at the stats of the gun, based on the disposition, for determining the likelyhood of effects. So a soma would be much less likely to get crit stuff, but a bad weapon with a decent crit chance would have a much better chance of getting crit affecting modifiers.

This is the high-tier reward.
DE implemented Riven mods as an opportunity to boost the potential of old weapons. it is RNG and it was said to be RNG by DE themselves. I don't see any problem with Rivens now. I want to say that i even went on and crafted a weapon for a riven mod and later this mod even got buffed. So it's a win/win solution.
Unfortunately i don't want the chosen weapon reward. It's too easy.

Actually they were very clear why Riven mods were RNG for the weapon you got. as I stated at the start of my post.

 

Also if you don't see a problem with rolling a dice for the weapon you get>rolling a dice for the type of stats you get> rolling a dice for the amoutn fo stats you get. In a game where everything else has fixed stats and fixed midifcations of those stats and generally onlt uses RNG for drop tables then I'm afraid I can't help you.
