p3z1
No, not powercreep, that's already existent in-game and nothing more can be done about that. Damage 3.0. Remember when the DEvs talked about balancing our damage output and enemy numbers? They stated something like "removing core mods like hornet strike and serration." Primed Pressure Point started the downfall of this idea. Then Riven mods come in, with their +damage mods. They are useful for all, but only some ACTUALLY need it. With this in play, I kinda doubt Damage 3.0 will be a thing, or enemy rescaling. Agree or not? Xerenova
Just fix the armor scaling and I think that should give underused weapons a little more usefulness.

Armor scaling is already offset by CP, and the underused weapons are still........underused. They're not bad because of armor scaling, they're bad because their stats suck or have crippling accuracy (ie. Cestra). All that being said, I agree with OP. Riven mods kind of kill the idea of damage 3.0 ever becoming a reality. And are another reason I think Riven mods are the worst thing to ever happen to the game. Misgenesis
Agreed i guess, since even Steve basically shrugged it off.

Still doesn't stop OHKs from happening, something that shouldn't exist in this game IMO. 8 hours ago, malekas said: Armor scaling is already offset by CP, and the underused weapons are still........underused. Underused weapons are still underused because of too much health and damage on opponents, while these weapons can't kill them fast enough. The game, at some point, becomes a "who has the faster trigger" game. 8 hours ago, malekas said: All that being said, I agree with OP. Add in the fact that RIven mods are locked behind: - Sortie RNG - Weapon selection RNG - Riven mods RNG These bad boys won't really address the "end game" issue. BornWithTeeth
The moment Riven mods became a thing, any notion of Damage 3.0 involving an overhaul of weapon mods went right out the window.
Ailissa
I thought we'd all acknowledged that damage 3.0 was never going to be a thing?

With this in play, I kinda doubt Damage 3.0 will be a thing, or enemy rescaling. Agree or not? The rebalance isnt happening. Period. Sort of like the reduced grind that way. Warframe will muddle along, adding unfinished, unpolished mechanics and waiting years to revisit them, until people fine wise up to the fact that this is all the game will ever be, and quit playing. The engine isnt going to improve. AI isnt going to improve. Remember, its peer to peer (making the online requirement pure DRM) and thus relies on client machines to handle the game. There is no server side, so, the AI has to be something average PC's can handle. Thus, its not going to get better. At this point, if you are still playing Warframe because you are "waiting on improvements to the core mechanics" you may as well give up. Its not going to happen. Period. I would think recent development trends - increased grind, more unfinished, unpolished, unwanted mechanics (Lunaro, Operator, doubling down on Archwing) - would have proved that to more people. Your core rebalance and basic game play improvements arent going to happen.
(PSN)PillarOfWar
I pray all dreams and hopes for Damage 3.0 are crushed and ruined and dying. So many other things to refine and bugs to fix I really don't want the game to redo a part that is fine. Gun modding is fine as is. Serration is fine as is. Multi shot is fine. Make more mods make more mastery fodder. Collect it. That's the game and it's fun. I stopped caring about power creep when soma prime came out. After prime mods, the war and galantine came out I roll laughing if anyone brings it up.
