Seer Could Use A Nerf (PvP)

Currently, Seer is just too effective.

Slash: 28.8
Impact: 28.8
Puncture: 28.8
Blast: 50.9

While the Blast portion of the damage is rather inconsistent on direct hits, as it doesn't even seem guaranteed while running Heavy Warhead, it makes the total damage perhaps a bit too much when it does apply. On top of that, the very fact that it is inconsistent causes issues on its own, potentially swaying fights because of what feels like RNG (or the presence of a mod).

Furthermore, the radius of the Blast's AoE is too generous. I don't know the exact numbers, but, with Heavy Warhead, it feels pretty absurd, allowing you to continue to land splash damage even against airborne enemies (and yourself, very often). While some AoE is good, Seer's range presently feels greater than even the explosive weapons' (Penta, Ogris, etc.), and it could stand to be toned down a little. The damage on the splash damage also feels a bit high, but reducing the radius might help with that by requiring the actual hit to be much closer to the target in order to deal similar damage.

Another issue present with Seer (and also with Thundermiter) is that the Blast portion of the damage can inherit the projectile's headshot multiplier (1.5x for Seer, 2.0x for Miter). Because of this, you can achieve up to ~76.4 Blast damage on top of the 129.6 IPS damage, should you land a direct hit on the head. That's over 200 total damage. Hitting walls above enemies appears capable of triggering the headshot multplier with the Blast as well, occasionally dealing surprisingly high damage on missed shots.

Making Seer unable to use Heavy Warhead would resolve most of the issues, as the Blast would (hopefully) no longer apply on directs hits (at least until that issue is taken care of), reducing the total damage and making direct hits more consistent in damage. Simultaneously, it would serve as an effective nerf to the AoE's range. Considering the third problem seems unintended (and would be partially remedied by this proposal), this might be a suitable solution. Otherwise, simply reducing damage and radius (by maybe a third?) could work.

This honestly didn't sound like conclave at all

They were saying it's too effective. Does that sound like PvE to you?

PvE Seer also doesn't deal blast damage.

So yes, it sounds exactly like conclave feedback.

Torid, tonkor, boltor I have more if you want of people complaining it's TOO OP/being effective so yes people complain about stuff IN PvE being effective

Also I'm pretty sure does deal blast damage in pve

Come on dude. They said it's too powerful, that doesn't sound like PvE because it's actually weak in PvE.

It's got nothing to do with Torid/Tonkor.

Drop it, don't derail the thread any further.
