You guys are irrelevant. The invisible minority. You are only holding us back.

So how exactly would removing solo mode as an option help WF at all. Seriously. You have provided exactly zero reasons.

I play solo often purely because I don't like racing to the finish line. I enjoy taking my time, finding stars and playing how I want doesn't mean I never socialise. Your thread is irrelevant.

I mean, that's what Trials are.

Trials have a play rate of less than one and a half percent. Even the solar rail junctions have a higher play rate. I'm sure DE has more background numbers but if I was the game dev with just these numbers, I don't think I'd try and force this kind of thing for a while. There's also no real way of knowing how many players are solo vs how many are group, but if posts I see on the forum are anything to go by theres a lot of people in BOTH sides. Enough where excluding one or the other possibly wouldn't be a financially stable move.

95% of my Warframe experience is solo. Not by choice, mind you.. it's just how the cookie crumbles sometimes. Sure, it's a multiplayer game at it's core but to exclude the solo aspect would be a mistake, imo. Alienate alot of players.

Agreed. While I do have friends who play warframe from time to time, there are actually quite a lot of times that I just want to play alone.

Right now everyone who isn't somewhere close to meta, is always on the move to get new stuff and level them, this just pulls them away from really talking to anyone at all unless they have a question about the game or something related.

For God's sake, you really don't understand?:D This is their own choice. And it's fine, completely okay.
My Jackie Chan meme gonna explode soon.
Why do we even talking about socialization in online game?! This is ONLINE, lol. IF you want some social stuff...you go to the real life stuff. Isn't it obvious?:DD

This thread is gonna get locked, but before it does, I'd just like to identify it as a pretty solid tutorial on how NOT to introduce yourself to an online community. Here it is, kids. This is what you DON'T do.

Yes because the game has to be based around the sensitive feelings of solo players. Okay.

But even if you do, it wouldn't be over something in the game, most of the socializing is just lounging in the relay.

After that you have no reason to play as much and you end up here like the rest of us as forumers.

You see having trials around didn't affect those solo kirito players at all.

Introducing something more social that will involve some more player interaction would definitely have a more positive impact on the game.

The solo players won't miss out on anything at all, just the socializing, but if you see that as an excuse to reject it and try to ruin it just because people are having fun playing together while you're soloing stuff by yourself then that's pretty selfish of you.

Oh God......another Kirito hater. Look FAM', there are SEVERAL major flaws with your.....less than mature viewpoint.

A) Some people have a terrible connection to the game's server, basically all but relegating them to solo play to avoid network issues.

B) This isn't CoD......any Warframe/Weapons combo I choose could kill an entire army in this game. On most occasions, my teammates are simply icing on a cake toped with ice cream.

All your frustration amounts to what I like to call "Musthateswavsolobadass" syndrome. Hence why you brought up said solo badass in your first line. Seek treatment post haste.

(And yes, I'm fully aware that Kirito and SAO in general is a flawed mess. Please refrain from debating how bad it is at my expense... TY)

No trials are a filter.

It separates players who can talk to each other and work together and they may become friends at the end after a good run, but not everyone who WANTS TO get into, can really get into it.

I am looking for something more watered down and inbetween, it can be anything really. 90% of the players I'm friends with haven't even done sortie or tried to attempt it with their friend or clan, they just go into recruiting chat and that's it. Nothing to really bond over.

As someone who played trials quite regularly, I rarely talk in them. I don't need to. Follow directions and listen to music.

Forgive me, but I'm not really a fan of talking to strangers in video games. I just don't like it, and it takes a solid impression to make me even bother to type, let alone get on voice.

Well, looks like you have achieved your goal. See? Many people working together to reveal some truth for you.
If that was a plan...well done.

The game doesn't attract the more interesting people who leave that sort of impression, but you like every other player had to learn how to do the trials at one point and maybe had some failures here and there but then you guys succeed, it's that success that makes you all friends after a struggle.

Play sorties with people, do some solo spies, go medallion hunting and level new toys during relic farms with people. Though ultimately thats besides the point. I'll play how i please and me choosing to play solo often shouldn't hurt your delicate sensibilities. WF is about choice and always has been. Thats why many like WF and enjoy it.

Cool ya jets son.

No. Maybe it's the title or maybe they didn't read the OP at all, but it's probably both.

But the lack of player socialization and community building in game and outside of clans are severe. We login and log out, we don't stick around unless some new update comes out.

But that's all there is to it.

There's nothing else now is there?

That's why I want DE to put some more emphasis on the social aspect, so that players like you can do something else and make an interesting friend to hang with.

Now before this gets locked... if there was a downvote function you'd have been in for it.

Also solo players really aren't a small minority by any means. Wether it be by inclination or hardware there are a *lot* of us who play overwhelmingly solo.

I don't think DE is in any big rush to piss off that significant a chunk of their playerbase. Because an impact of that nature would immediately have social media go apeS#&$ with bad reviews.

If you want to try and "change the world", don't do it in a video game. Use your energy somewhere else.

The last time someone tried to change the world, they kinda got crucified.

But just simply developing the more social mechanics/aspects of warframe isn't really changing the world, it's helping the game keep certain players to keep playing Warframe.
