Or type in 1500 when adding resources to research in the dojo. I know this is available on PC. Holding down the bumper and then waiting is a pain. Please make it available on Console. There is a option called "press 🔼 to select all" But yes, I agree that it's required for consoles. This means if you have 200 and want to sell 199, you have to scroll up to 199, instead of skipping to 200 and then scrolling down once.
