Making melee weapons more distinct

Currently, most melee weapons are mostly reskins with different stats. Press E as quick as you can, essentially. Why not add sweetspots and/or sourspots to melee? What I mean is that, imagine the Tonbo. You'd deal only half damage if you hit the enemy with the handle part, but 1.5 damage if you got them with the blade. You'd need to be just a bit more mindful of the weapon specifically, and be rewarded for doing so.

Metheria making decent threads? What would velour think of you right now? But in all seriousness I think it would work.
