Yup ,mate i have this same problem. But when i reinstall game everything is ok. What GF do you have? and that is i5?i7? How much RAM?  My CPU start work something like 50%-70%(Athlon II 4x 2.8 - 3.0 Gz/after reinstall)  and r9 270 not alot 50%. . You never know when that happen. Maybe you have some virus or maybe some trojan download porn on your computer - maybe someon take yout password...xD

1. Clean your Computer(virus)

2. Try reinstall chipset and graphic drivers.(reboot)

3.  Reinstall Warframe.

4. Check your WIndows! ---> Run cmd.exe as administrator and use command sfc /scannow - w8 and after that use command: notepad and there will be

>>>written path to the log file <<< like this command :notepad C:/windows/CMB.log. You will find this path after scan. DO NOT CLOSE CMD AFTER SCAN.

5. Reboot!

6 .Try turn off multi core reneding(this same place where you can find 64 bit or full screen mode - inside laucher options)

7. Tell me what happen.

You have black or white screen? I have both.

Sorry it took so long to get back but I was working the dead shift and had no energy...

Anyways, I have an old geezer machine, quad core 3.0mhz per core

GPU GTX 660 SC 2 gb

8 gb ram

IO also have an i5 laptop - which has none of the issues, but it's a recent gaming laptop that runs circles around my desktop. nevertheless I still play all the latest "this gen" games on my desktop and encounter no issues in 98% of them. I didn't have any issues with Warframe until the update that came just before I wrote that post (well, it was happening before but ANOTHER update solved it and then a new one came and the problem came back). All the things you mention I have done to no avail. And as your later post suggests, I run it in windowed mode (always has).

Read please one post up. I had a problem similar to your problem,if you have something overclocked reduce it.  Game work good in wondow mode, i was happy so i post that everything is fine. You do not want to know my face when the game has been broken xDDDDDDD After that i read about DX errors and finde some fix. Try this if that dont help check yout power control and use "hig performance" but only power control. Try find  warframe log and see what is before game crash. Send a message to support.

Maybe dx was update that why i think that is your problem.

I am doing nothing but just looking at things in my ship when the game crashes, with sound and no picture. The CPU utilization is 90+%. This has happened twice today, after the update.

CPU - Intel

GPU - Nvidia

Imo, this should probably have gone in players helping players, more so than the Warframe bug section.

It sounds like your hardware may be having issues in some form; if you haven't already, verify Warframes files, then update your video drivers.

If still having issues:
http://www.cpuid.com/downloads/hwmonitor/hwmonitor_1.30.zip
^Run this while you play, and keep track of the temperatures. Your components may be overheating.

If you listed that GPU correctly, you are running EVGA's "Super Clock" which as the name implies is more than just your average overclock. If all else fails, it may be beneficial to remove it and see how you go.

Oh, our angel from heaven, the angel is educated...Satan can only mean that he has screwed?: P btw if he reinstall game, i think he dont have to verify files. He say that everything is ok when he play other games. I had the same problem, it was not the image but could hear the sounds, on DX 9 game has crashed while doing "Prrrr." P I've tried everything until read logs and what i see?!Dx error, but it was not a message just like bf or other games.

Why did you write the same thing?

I thought that the players help players in the game and about the game ... maybe we ask a moderator our God for which we walk after the end of the world !!!!

Late reply but, no it is not a temperature issue, and it isn't for Players Helping Players. This is a known issue, nothing new. All of your "solutions" have been tried already and failed by many, many people. Video drivers, GPU utilities, verifying files - none of those work and that is well documented already. Also, my video card is underclocked - it's a SC edition but I don't like overclocked anything so that was taken care of the day I installed it in the PC that I built, like so many that I have built for myself and others - which means I know about hardware and do not need a day one tutorial or suggestions for people who think the DVD tray is a cup holder.

The reason I put it in the Bug section is because it IS a bug with Warframe. There are no players working on Warframe and no players have figured out why it is crashing this way. Time to report it to those who know the technical details. While I appreciate you trying to answer - your answer is not the answer - only the developers can address this problem.

That isn't my problem. Its the old "Video Card has recovered" issue, not DX - and my card is not overclocked, I took care of that.

With respect, not with the info you've provided.

The only info anyone has to work with is high CPU usage, ergo: Check your temps. My answer is the best guess given the little information provided in the OP.

If you can provide more information about what is happening as you play, you'll get a better answer, and help solve issues others might be having. Did you do something to trigger the crash? Entering a mission? Jumping while looking at the ground? Were you in game for 15 mins, or 6 hours? Does it happen after 6mins exactly? etc. etc.
