Vaykor Marelok for crit or status?

I got the Vaykor Marelok recently and i regret not getting it sooner but i can´t decide what build i should use a status, a crit or a mix out of both.

What would you recommend?

Add some critical chance and damage, plus Corrosive, and it's the best you can get.

I use Crit Full Damage and Crit Status Hybrid depending on the level range.

Long as you can get head-shots the 100% status build just doesn't really catch up to the hybrid build and of course the full damage is superior when you're not dealing with armor.

Why not both? I don't use the Marelok, but hybrid builds typically perform very well on weapons that can do both. Try using 2 crit mods, 2 elemental status mods, HS +  LT + BD and a 8th mod of your choice and see for yourself.

I´ll go more into Hybrid then either Gas or Viral not a fan of corrosive.

I don´t have those Primed Mods but it will work out fine.

Build for 100% status (unless you are a heavy Mesa user.)  You should be using your primary to deal most of your damage.  A status Marelok with corrosive is a great way to open a boss fight by stripping off the armor, then use your primary to finish him off.  Status marelok still does enough damage to kill things at level 100 if needed.

I use a crit/status build, and for damage I almost always go corrosive on almost everything. Once you max your mods everything that isn't an endless mission enemy dies really easily. Armor scaling enemies are the only real challenge.
