and guess what, the third mission is the only time your points matter. Everyone on pc thought it was boring too.

Please do not speak for everyone. I myself really enjoyed the event as it is one of the first in a LONG time that cooperation, communication, and competition were actually brought together. I loved doing this event and do not regret any of the time I spent pushing the leaderboards.

. See, there's this thing that comes with events, it's called the rewards, and I'd sorta like to have the Ignis Wraith before the year 2020 finally drops it again in some invasion mission

It can be traded and on pc people were giving it away for free so technically you don't have to do it at all.

I really want to like this event but network issues and bugs are killing it for me.

First try with randoms:  we rescue 44, then the host quits.  After migration a door is locked preventing the dudes from reaching extraction.  (Not the little door you open at first, but a random large door.)  By the time I convince the other two randoms to go to extraction, we have lost 10.  I get credit for 32.

Second try with randoms: I leave after a dozen when friends invite me.  Network issues pop up, I get credit for 0.

Third try with clan:  We escort 75 to safety, then extract.  Network issues again, I get credit for 0, my clan mates get credit for 74.

Lame.

and it says I need to get 2000 pacifists to evacuation.

Nah, just need 500.  If you can do it in one run, you're gonna sling your clan into the top 10% fast, especially if you have 3 other clanmates with you.

Tier 1 - 1 rescue; 1 point.

Tier 2 - 1 rescue; 2 points (IIRC)

Tier 3 - 1 rescue; 4 points.

Personal score is cumulative, you don't need to get all points in one go, but for clan score, it only tracks the highest.  So if you get 100 > 101 > 87, your score will sit at 101 until you surpass it in another run.

But you are correct.  This event is tedious and enforces the meta to an insane degree.

On my first try with random players, we (well I) got to 21.

The other 3 players got as far as a hallway near A, then their brains shut off. I was busy keeping 5 Kavor alive when they let two others die back near their hallway. All 3 promptly ran to extraction.

So far I'm not a fan of this operation.

I suggest hitting up recruiting at least.  I did and managed to find a decent team that went to 147 rescues in one shot.

You are aware that only your best score in the third mission counts right? Just checking...

And it's really not that tedious. Public Squads can handle it pretty well, atleast that was, what i experienced

Nope. Haven't gotten to the third tier yet. Thats good to know though. If I treat it like I'm going into a sortie and pack my strongest infestation gear I should hopefully be fine as long as I'm with my squad

No!  Nononono!  If you want a long run, do your best not to kill anything.  Those things ramp up fast, you go in with the intent to kill, you'll be swarmed by Ancients of every color in less than 15 or 20 minutes.

Take as much CC as you can manage.

It is but to look out for my clanmates, ima get through it till I hit that last milestone and never look back

I can go an hour or two in a good group, if u need a 4th I can run a Vauban a Slova or a Naramon Ev Trinity. Let me know.  Oh and @MagPrime is correct. Don't kill anything.

See, this is why I created this post. It's good to know things like this before I go into it from people that have already gone through it. So pack Ivara and spam sleep arrows or Vauban with Bastille is what I should do. Thank you

Pick up the Vauban Repel augment, it helps.  As to Ivara; eh... I had one on the team, they wound up dying the most.  Not sure why, and not saying that's true of all Ivaras, just that my experience resulted in a mission score of 357 instead of the 800 we were aiming for.

What worked for me, 2 Trinities, 2 Vaubans.  One team went to Tower A, the other to B.  The Trinity kept the Range/Duration Vauban up on energy and the Survivors alive.  We didn't need to kill anything with Blessing in play, we just moved the group out as soon as Vauban was full up on energy.

I hear that 2 Trinities and 2 Slow Novas, or 2 Snowglobe Frosts, or 2 Limbos, work well.  And an Irradiating Disarm Loki will reverse the Infested auras due to the Rad. procc. Friend of mine did well with a Zephyr and a Nyx too, but not sure how they did it.

Limbo actually not a bad choice.

Targets in rift can't get healed by the life support machine but you won't have to since “Haven” can heal them.

Just build a max duration with abit of power str limbo with haven aug and you will be fine.

I dont run organized groups...besides of the 22 people ranked higher than me in my clan, only one has even attempted the event so I'm just gonna get my rewards and move on as I planned

And all that cc and non killing seems boring

Its an escort mission, ofc it will be boring... Name one game that didn't have a boring escort mission xD

Like at least add something, anything that would make the mission a bit more ... Fun!? Imagine if we had armored tanks (not character tanks, military tanks) and ultra heavy weapons throughout the map to use while escorting!

Boring, but everyone's doing it. And doing it. And doing it. And doing it.

Is there anything people won't do for a gun?

Soma Wraith next. We have to hit ourselves in the face 1000 times everyday for a week to get it. Black eyes, headaches, but boy was it worth it for that gun!!!!!!!
