Concerns about Octavia's abilities

Not every party is going to have Banshee, and even then, a lot of Banshees don't use silence.

But useless is useless, better find a better warframe to spend my plat on.

Silence doesn't dampen sound. Silence affects enemy perception of sound.

Honestly, it is odd that the two "sound" frames will be at odds with certain abilities. I figured there would be better symmetry between them.

Banshee just makes noise or lack thereof. It's like Octavia is this beautiful singer. But she has a daughter. Everyone feels like she could aspire to great things. But it turns out she's super emo and into heavy rock and screamer. :P

That is only partially true - Silence will reduce sound by causing less enemies to shoot.
Silence it self makes a lot of noise - so if that is factored in you would actually do same or more damage.

No seriously... She's still one of the least played frame and she's most of the time played for sonar & sound quake, not for her silence.

And we still don't know how that ability of octavia will work, maybe it doesn't work like how the description describe it.

It's not released yet and you are already complaining or looking for mistakes. You go to a computer and do the work, test and please almost 50 000 players.

I don't think Octavia's ability will be nullified by another warframe's ability.

Silence is an aura that merely applies a 'deafness' debuff on enemies that enter it. I don't think it reduces the noise around Banshee and thus shouldn't interfere with Octavia.

I'm most surprised that none of her abilities relate to the disc-shaped things on her arms. All along I thought those were going to be weaponized in some way. They look sharp.

Remember that only Banshee herself hears everything muffled, everyone else in the squad still hears things at full volume last I checked. So hopefully Octavia runs off what gets routed through her player's speakers instead of through the Banshee player's speakers

When discussing Octavia's powers:

1. Jumping to conclusions should accelerate the rate of posting on any Octavia discussion thread.
2. Giving up on logical discussion and just verbally flailing is basically guaranteed to give your arguments more impact.
3. Ignoring our internal filters and shooting from the hip when the timing seems right should allow everyone to post in more parallel Octavia threads.
4. Finally, ducking out of responding to counterarguments should make you immune to being singled out for anything you've said.

Well, isn't the sound disruption effect just for Banshee? 

I doubt it'll do much, since Loki also has outside noises dulled while invisible, yet the volume around the room never changes for anyone else.
