I'm still trying to do rounds once a week, but for the foreseeable future the actual day is going to vary because of reasons.  Contests will still be on the weekends on my YouTube Channel.

Ground Rules:

  • Rounds are on Wednesdays
    • Everyone gets one, if I can.
    • If I've done a request for you then please wait two weeks before requesting another.
    • If I'm backlogged then I may not get to yours for a few rounds.
    • If you have a list then I'm only going to go through the top 3, so please try to narrow it down.
  • No "extended" music links, please, just the original one time through is much easier to work with.
  • If you have a particular section of the song in mind then make sure you mention it.
  • Please don't PM me with requests.  Just leave it on the thread and I'll get to it when I can. 
  • "Can you do anything from ______?"  You're going to have to narrow it down to specific songs for me.  I don't have omniscient knowledge of all music, yet.
  • I don't really take Shawzin requests; not enough time and something had to give.

A: You don't, not until Octavia returns with the Prime Vault.  In the meantime, substitute these:

  • Bombast Percussion -> Gamma Percussion
  • Bombast Bass -> Beta Bass
  • Bombast Melody -> Epsilon for slow melodies, gamma for fast ones

Hello. This library of your work is awesome!

If I may, I'd request a song, with some alternates listed should the first request fall into the 'cannot do' category

1. About a Girl - Nirvava, 8 second to 16 second mark

2. All the good girls go to hell - Billie Eilish starting at the 1:34 second mark.

3. She Hates Me - Puddle of Mudd starting at the 1:19 second mark

As I alluded previously, a new Symphogear album released. Of the ten songs, half of them have two or more vocal parts, which I imagine would make a mandachord version difficult at best (I'll have to give them another listen to see if there's any good instrumental sections), and one other is not to my taste.

That leaves me with... four. Hm.

Well, I need to find good videos for them anyway. In the meantime, I'm surprised no one's asked you to do the new Pokemon Battle Tower theme yet - personally I'm not sure it's a good fit for the mandachord, but I'm still surprised no one's asked.

The synth melody from OMD's Isotype? Specifically, about 0:54 to 1:09 as shown here? (Or any part that something can be made from?)

Close to doable than most Pokemon OSTs, but still not close enough.

Your link is broken, but I believe you just wanted the backing beat?

When someone requests a Nightcore song I work with the original because there is literally no difference with a Mandachord.  For example:

Ok, full disclosure: this post is mostly me ranting about songs I really like, and if you can make a good mandachord song out of one, that's just gravy.

Gosenfu no Sanctuary (backup link) is reason #3 I wish Symphogear did more villain songs. Not that there aren't plenty of songs sung by villains, but only three of them feel like Villain Songs, and they're all sung by the same character.

Sakimori no Uta (backup link) represents a continuing trend - two, actually: one of me being an absolute sucker for exactly this sort of genre-defying instrument choice, and the other of Tsubasa always having the best songs (even if only a couple even slightly work on the mandachord).

EDIT: video links may be wonky (I swear they weren't giving me issues yesterday), I'll see if I can find better ones
