I'm still trying to do rounds once a week, but for the foreseeable future the actual day is going to vary because of reasons.  Contests will still be on the weekends on my YouTube Channel.

Ground Rules:

  • Rounds are on Wednesdays
    • Everyone gets one, if I can.
    • If I've done a request for you then please wait two weeks before requesting another.
    • If I'm backlogged then I may not get to yours for a few rounds.
    • If you have a list then I'm only going to go through the top 3, so please try to narrow it down.
  • No "extended" music links, please, just the original one time through is much easier to work with.
  • If you have a particular section of the song in mind then make sure you mention it.
  • Please don't PM me with requests.  Just leave it on the thread and I'll get to it when I can. 
  • "Can you do anything from ______?"  You're going to have to narrow it down to specific songs for me.  I don't have omniscient knowledge of all music, yet.
  • I don't really take Shawzin requests; not enough time and something had to give.

A: You don't, not until Octavia returns with the Prime Vault.  In the meantime, substitute these:

  • Bombast Percussion -> Gamma Percussion
  • Bombast Bass -> Beta Bass
  • Bombast Melody -> Epsilon for slow melodies, gamma for fast ones

could you do a mandachord cover or the high pitched melody of song linked using only the bombast metronome instrument? also sorry for it being a 1hr version it's the only version i could find that was so low quality that the high pitch part was easier to hear than the rest of it.

Yeah, I knew this was coming.  I'll have something for this soon but I'll tell  you right not it's not going to work great on a Mandachord.

That's a good question.  The original is in straight diatonic G minor, so A minor (major scale) is the closest, but it just *barely* doesn't fit.  It's missing the high A.  So it's gotta go down a fifth to C minor (minor scale)

What do you think of the different parts? Do you think the Bass, Tenor, or Soprano part would make good shawzin songs too? It would be awesome to have 4 shawzin players play the whole thing together in-game.

And do you think that one of the other parts might fit the mandachord better than the melody does? Or are the mandachord issues more tempo and timing based?

After going through them, no.  None of them will work great, and even if they did they're not something anyone would recognize on their own.

Can I have multiple loaded shawzin songs at a time? Or is there only one slot?

 

Well that will probably take a few months of persistence for me to learn, but its only one hand so I should be ok. I never practiced enough to get good at having my hands do two different rhythms at the same time on piano.
