Any stealth effects, with lag or who knows what else, can cause the frame's alpha levels to not revert when the stealth ends. It's a bit disorienting when you're used to gauging things visually. I was using Trinity Prime with Prisma Shade and after it cloaked me, my whole frame disappeared and never reapeared again - could see only crosshair and nothing else.
