Tobyfield
First note i really enjoy the game haven't enjoyed a shooting game since the release of destiny. I do have a thought about multi-shot mods for weapons and i believe it should increase critical chance and not just status chance. If this change were to happen it would bring more weapons to end game play, and players would have more variety in their kits.
Keiiken
btw the status chance per hit/projectile does not increase its only showing a higher status because theres more chances to hit the target. The crit chance works the same way, because theres more than one hit there more of a chance that one of them will crit. The only difference is how they are shown in the UI. rapt0rman
Every pellet from multishot has the same crit and status chance as the original bullet. What you see in the stats in the arsenal isn't the best representation of what multishot does. Edited April 25, 2017 by rapt0rman
TentownsRaid
What needs to be done is weapons need a lot of re-balance passes. If you buff a must have mod you don't make low tier weapons any better then they were unless they are weapon specific.
Tobyfield
Then if that is the case the ui needs to be updated to become more accurate in its representation. According to what your saying having 100% status on any weapon that has multi-shot is a false claim to %.

Status chance is actually divided by the pellet count, UNLESS you have 100% status chance before multishot mods are added. In other words, if you have a gun with a 90% chance with split chamber and it fires two pellets, each has a 45% chance to cause a status chance. Yea, it's weird and all in the wiki if you want to read up on it.

Multishot applied by mods does not divide your status chance. If you have a shotgun with 10% status chance and 10 pellets for 1% chance per pellet, and you add 100% multishot for 20 pellets, you still have 1% chance per pellet, and not 0.5%.
