So..we finaly got a gun with infifite ammo pull. Nice job DE..Now pls give that mechanic to Hema cus she have to use our health as ammunation and probably other corpus weapons like Dera

Well the hema ALWAYS been an issue about ammo (soon as i read the description i was fully expecting the new gun to take energy and ammo to reload.) but like the hema reads that it forges blood into bullets meaning it either A) uses your hp as ammo instead of an HP pool. or B) uses your hp as an ammo mutation. both would be better thant the currently hp AND ammo system.

Still nice to see DE branching to the more unique ideas more throughly

nah...why is it even infinite? srsly corpus have discovered infinite energy production and tenno are still scrounging around for energy orbs or praying for a trin to appear?

Yes...I also find this infinite ammo thing unnecessary.   I would also like if Archwing weapons were not infinite....  There are plenty ammo drops anyway.

I have to say NO.

I would hate to see the Cycrons reload copied onto other weapons.
Seriously, firing a weapon for 4 seconds only to have to wait 6 seconds to have a full magazine again is horrible. (5 second ammo recharge delay followed by a close to 1 second recharge time)
I much, much prefer manually reloading because then I can actually use my weapons consistently without massive delays of sitting around twiddling my thumbs going "Well, now I have to wait for 6 seconds before I have a full magazine again......"

The mechanic is just too clunky and slow and ammo really isn't a problem.
It would just ruin weapons with the utter inability to reload when you actually need to unless you're willing to just sit in a corner for long enough for it to recharge.

You try picking things up in Archwing after killing them with a gun instead of melee, and report back again.

And? Still see no problem.  If there is only ONE ammo type for all guns,  space will be littered with ammo.   Not to mention you will have ammo pool that can store a hefty amount of ammunition.

I have no problems picking up energy / loot.  Picking up ammo along the way will not hurt either.

Archwing, the space flight game mode that's supposedly all about the joy of flight and speed, would be further bogged down by another "fly through loot" requirement and still without reasonable vacuum range, as well as making bullet hose weapons (including the stock Imperator that most people get stuck with, and not even have the mods to improve) less viable.

Way to go to make a game mode already loathed by most people even more hated.

Just give Cycron better mag size snd faster reload speed

This mechanic might be fine if it was changed to how archwing guns work, but I think I'd prefer if they worked like the Darkstar/Betelgeuse from Planetside 2. If you exercise some trigger discipline and stop firing before the mag empties, the recharge is faster. If you expend the entire mag, it overheats and takes a bit longer.

My suggestion for the Cycron would be 30-35 round mag with a 1.5 second delay before it starts to rapidly recharge. 2.5-3 seconds delay if you expend the entire mag. Actually, I think I'd prefer if all guns kinda worked like they do in PS2, where there's a short/long reload kinda thing to encourage mindfulness of ammo expenditure and trigger discipline, but I also realize this is a very different kind of game.

Maybe not infinite ammo in the traditional sense, but maybe a heat based ammo system.

For example shooting a weapon with the system genrates heat over time and cools down when not shooting or you reload for a 'quick' cooldown. Generate too much heat and the weapon would damage you (maybe blowing up too), so you can't fire on forever, of course a possible compensation it could be more damaging when the heat is higher. It's still infinite ammo, but with the risk of it hurting you.

If the infinite ammo part is a big no no, then it could be just a huge ammo pool with the heat based system.

Yeah, unless/until they make this weapon better it is probably best they don't extend this type of mechanic to other weapons.  Though I would like to see it used more were to reload (premodding) faster.  Especially on beam weapons that gobble ammo up like candy.
