GAZMANFOREVER Posted April 27, 2017 Posted April 27, 2017 (edited) [DE] Can you please take a look at this and try to say if this is a good idea. I would personally like to see this added in to the game. Its an endless tower mission using the old void keys. the void keys would be different from the fissure missions. You can get them in the Void parkour rooms very rarely. You can also get one if Corrupted Vor spawns in a fissure and you manage to kill him. The tower would be like an endless dungeon. You would go down a level for each mission, while the enemies would scale(not too aggressively). The mission would start at around level 50. Every tower starts with a random mission and at the end you are presented with an option: extract and keep all the loot and rewards you got, or continue down a level and get the opportunity to gain some more rewards. If you chose to continue, you will get to chose between two mission types to play. Not repeating the previous mission. As you go down and the enemies level are not scaling too much, you wold get mission modifiers. These could be like the sortie modifiers or the nightmare ones. OR both. Every time you finish a mission and you get to choose the next one, the options would have different modifiers. Now this mission type sounds pretty, but if you fail one of the next missions you lose everything. Edited April 27, 2017 by Sebi98 Added explanation
(XBOX)rocketstar31 Posted April 27, 2017 Posted April 27, 2017 Hey, if you post a video, make sure you include a written synopsis, as just having the video is sometimes considered advertising (even if it isn't your channel)

Endless missions that aren't the same rote "stand there, spam CC, and shoot things as they come to you" game play we have now. Of course, most mission types have a fail scenario, so it's not like there'd be any freebies if exterminate is nixed from the mission types possible. Edited April 28, 2017 by Littleman88

It's true that I didn't watch the video (I maybe will) but from OP's description I don't see anything that prevent people from spamming CC to win

You would have to choose at some point between a mission you like but the modifiers is something that hurts your setup and a mission you don't really like but with a modifier that doesn't hurt that bad. Example: You have a CC/power intensive group. At the end of the "floor" you can choose between a survival with the energy reduction modifier and a pretty good reward. And a defense "floor" with low gravity modifier and a good-ish reward. Risk your group and do a survival with no energy and lose your rewards or do a defense and get another chance at the next "floor".

Because you think energy reduction is a problem when you have a trinity ?

And it's more about variety in the endless, more so than the approach to killing things. CC is it's own problem anyway.
Neightrix Posted April 28, 2017 Posted April 28, 2017 (edited) Love the idea of having objectives change in a mission, like Survival (5 min) > Sabotage > Capture > Mobile Defense. Don't necessarily like the idea of being forced to spend a lot of time in mission because of very rare accessibility. I think I get the idea though, you wouldn't be picking the ideal frames every time, and you'd have to adapt to the changing objectives. It's a really good idea. Edited April 28, 2017 by Neightrix
CMBDIs Posted April 29, 2017 Posted April 29, 2017 A nice idea. Sounds interesting. And this game needs some interesting. People I play with are bored or have already given up and moved on. Need more missions, more types of missions, more adventures, more planets...need I say more. Oh, and get rid of Ordis and Tenno and their annoyingly small and not so random list of quotes unless you plan to expand their quips database by at least a hundred fold. Also since this game isn't PVP I don't see why you waste developer time buffing and debuffing. Develop new game content, and quit tweaking the old content. I don't want my crap getting debuffed or buffed.
Makuta_Nazo Posted April 30, 2017 Posted April 30, 2017 so wait. As I understand this. Its an endless void raid? :D That sounds awesome.
