Yes, yes, I'm well aware that I may get a bunch of flak for this, but, I decided that..

I'm going to write a SHORT STORY ABOUT WARFRAME.

Yes, yes, I know. Hold your anger in for a bit, please, will you?

I decided that, I was awfully disappointed in a backstory for one of my favorite frames: Frost Prime. And, considering that I'm one for wanting to expand on lore and such, I'm taking it upon myself to write a story, based on Frost Prime. No promises yet, as to who or what it will include. However, keep in mind, that I DON'T KNOW EVERYTHING ABOUT WARFRAME. If you want to contribute, please, by all means, help me by giving me resources about the Warframe Lore. I will also take constructive criticism, once I start posting information about the story. Don't worry: If it's not derogatory, or inflammatory, I'll keep it in consideration.

I hope it turns out nicely, but keep it mind it doesn't belong here. This should probably go in the fan arts and stuff area.

Ah, cheers. Although, I'm not sure how I'm supposed to move this, or how to request a move.

Oh, you mean for the older Primes?

Go ahead. I thought you were talking about Fanfiction. In which case I would be mad, because you would be infringing on my territory.

What was the original thought? I completely missed it. Also, I'm perfectly okay for stepping back! If it's your throne, I'll step aside.

It was a joke.

I do have a WF/RWBY crossover on FF that's doing fairly well, but I'd be more than happy to see more writers, if only to expand some of the lore.

well, each frame is themed around something, which I believe stems from knowledge found in Orokin Archives. for example, Mesa was inspired by Orokin data referring to the old west, and it's gunfighters, and the Orokin would dedicate a frame to this ideal (Mesa will have a Prime of course). for frost, they would have simply looked at the idea of a frame inspired by cold and cold things: snow, Ice, Mountains, Tundras etc.

the Orokin seem to have a preference for cold over heat, since many rooms within the Void have Ice patches on the floor, possibly intended  as decoration but functioning as a movement slowing area vs intruders and Corrupted alike. Cold also looks far more appropriate aesthetically on Prime Weapons, and the Orokin themselves are reoffered to as "cold and gold emperors". they also have a preference for White, the colour of Ice, though this may just be a coincidence, and white is simply considered a "pure" colour to them.

I believe there's some kind of link between cold and the Orokin, perhaps you can explore it in your story? along with maybe looking at Frost's original moment of conception (when they were thinking about making him?). it could feature Ballas talking with Archimedians about what the frame should be, the same way DE's Dev team does in real life.

They needes a fridge and ac, so they settled for one that has both.

You bring up several very good points. The next statement applies to what you are saying, but contains spoilers.

I was considering mentioning the mountains and icy region that is found in The War Within mission, where your operator gets stranded there, after Ordis drops you off. Considering that there is Orokin technology there, perhaps, this could be a major point in the story.

I agree with you on the "cold and gold emperors" statement. Very much so. In fact, I have a theory, that the Orokin not only liked and reveled with Cold-based technology, but also, that, for the most part, required it, in order for their ships and towers to not completely overhead, and thus, cause them to die off by heat alone.

They don't mean cold as in temperature, it's the same as saying  cold shoulder, a cold smile...

It's a suggestive type of writing that goes to our instincts.

Warm is inviting, friendly and safe.

Cold is uninviting, uncomfortable if not hostile.
