Galatine Prime VS Atterax

Hurido

edit: But honestly though between the two, I'd go with the Galatine Prime.  Tempo Royal has imo the smoothest flowing and easy to use combo in the game (hold block while attacking), and the last strike does an area slam that knocks enemies down.

This is the build I use for Galatine Prime.

The Atterax's range combined with that 3.0 Crit multiplier will make it better, assuming you build for a melee focused loadout. The animation in my opinion is also more fluid (I'm not a fan of the heavy blade stances, this is personal preference).

Endurance Survival or Defense/Interception/Excavation/Salvage?

I ask because Survival doesn't have the cooldowns between rounds like the other endurance modes.

Melee only and with a sustained Combo the Atterax is very hard to beat.

If you are alternating between guns and/or are doing the other endless types where you may lose Melee combo count during transition: I believe the Galatine Prime has more initial Burst damage to get the killing started faster along with the helpful stagger...if not invisible.

If you are just using invisibility...then Atterax (No contest)

Atterax is the worst. Skana and oberon is even better than atterax. DE, dont nerf it. It's bad already. Galatine op atterax isnt.

I agree with this. Atterax is so mediocre we shouldn't pay any attention to it.

if you're abusing Meme Strike, Atterax is the only Melee Weapon in the game. only Zenistar and Hirudo is worth considering instead, as one has area denial while the other has Healing.
if you're looking to Kill things, refer to the first sentence.

Melee weapon damage, with all the mods that have been added recently--ish (And even before that) can reach absolutely ludicrous amounts of damage.

When you get to the point where you can oneshot any enemy at any level, the only thing that can increase your killspeed at that point is how many enemies you kill in one swing.

I'll let you decide which one of the two's more suited for that.

People would say I use giant swords to compensate for something. I just say, use the Galatine. If you're gonna be compensating for something, might as well overcompensate ;)

In all seriousness, I prefer the galatine. The blade movements are more predictable for me, which I am more comfortable with.

But you can do both so long as you keep Blood Rush, and Body Count/Drifting Contact
