Rescue missions

Hey all,

I'm beginning to see the limits of the Rescue missions where the concept is :

- Loki, Volt is appreciated as well

- Run through everything

- GG

Why is the Hostage a transdimensional being ? Why is he able to teleport from the Prison to the Extraction point ? Worse, if he is able to teleport from the Prison to the Extraction point, why are we requested to save him ? I'm nearly sure he can save the universe by himself.

We could see that DE was able to code a reasonably fine AI, with the Pacifism Defect rescue targets. You know, people that will run towards the Extraction, just requiring us to protect them.

Why wouldn't you expand this AI to the random Rescue missions ? At least for Sorties ? They would be more interesting and less... Loki-esque than they are today.

Especially give that he has more health and shields that everyone saving him combined.

Lets be fair dough. If we're asking to make the Rescue missions more realistic by making the AI run on a predetermined path (on rails) or make him follow the orders of the Tenno, I would expect the same treatment on Sortie Defense missions. It's not like a damn defense target wondering aimlessly around a room like a dementia patient is realistic or fun.

Yes, Sortie Hostages are a bit dumb as well. But I can guess this difference between Normal Defenses and Sortie Defenses is to add some small difficulties as you can't "camp" somewhere and actually have to defend him.

Maybe they should make him run around instead of just walking, like some random citizen that is panicking in this tense situation where everyone want to kill him, dunno

i always found it weird that we dont have to escort the hostage... like really weird

I've often wondered why we don't just teleport them out like we do with capture targets. Although I suspect capture targets are actually being uploaded to a Cephalon, not just teleported to extraction (despite what the Lotus says).
