(PSN)DrHildibrand Posted May 1, 2017 Posted May 1, 2017 Yeah, don't spam invites. Most people ignore those. Also, the PS4 community isn't as bad as people make it out to be. Generally we are pretty nice.
zNightWolfz Posted May 1, 2017 Posted May 1, 2017 dont let the few spoil your view of every one.. if you where pc id said ill help no probs no strings attached...
SeaUrchins Posted May 1, 2017 Posted May 1, 2017 Well, it is a common courtesy to ask for help, not to spam with invites and blame people for not being mules.

(PSN)robotwars7 Posted May 2, 2017 Posted May 2, 2017 (edited) hmm.. a shame nobody was charitable enough to help you, but chivalry is dead as they say. I'd help, but you probably wouldn't like my teaching style, I'm like a cross between a Gunny Seargent and Gordon Ramsay on a good day and i like to throw people in the deep end, so to speak. keep asking around though, there are clans out there who are willing to devote time to newer players. (XBOX)Ivan of Jupiter Posted May 2, 2017 Posted May 2, 2017 As many have already stated, recruiting chat works wonders. Be specific about what you're trying to do in the game and ask for help. You might not get any responses after 1 attempt, but you'll get a few. Also don't help other people first. Get them to help you first and then out of the kindness of your own heart ask if there's anything you can do for them in return. Most people will simply say, "nah I'm good thank you tho and good luck." Or something along these lines Some people might even stick around and continue to help you out! This is how one makes what we call "friends".
Kusungphak Posted May 2, 2017 Posted May 2, 2017 Only time I am ever coordinating with someone in a squad for future missions is when I am doing clans squads. I really cant be bothered with public. Do your objective and bye as soon as I am back on my ship.
xiaodenden Posted May 2, 2017 Posted May 2, 2017 I only play on PC, but judging by how some (but not all) people post in the forum, I'm getting the impression that there is a higher concentration of toxicity in consoles versus PC. Anyway, like many have said already, people do not like blind or spam invites. If I get a blind invite, I usually decline or ignore it, but if random player PM me and ask for help politely, I'm usually happy to help them out and I don't ask for anything in return. If your clan behaves the same way as random people you've encountered, you should leave that clan and find an active clan with better people. You are not obligated to stay in a clan if you don't like how the players there behave. Or come and play on PC instead. ;) Much bigger, active population.
Kusungphak Posted May 2, 2017 Posted May 2, 2017 Finding a right clan is very important as you enjoy the game a lot more. Clan where people are willing to help. Have any doubts just ask...Don't have Lephantis coordinate or key to unlock junction. Just ask and people will help you out.. Go on 8 man trail missions with both newbies and veteran players to show the ropes.. Or just sharing Epic Sax guy octavia on a 30 wave akkad mission. Always fun with others.

If you'd like, I'll arrange an invite. A good clan changes everything.
Horaciozhao Posted May 2, 2017 Posted May 2, 2017 I never accept blind invite though, just imagine if you want to ask something irl, instead of saying "excuse me", you throw them a map and point then speak nothing, it won't work.
Ricardo58 Posted May 2, 2017 Posted May 2, 2017 Sorry dude, but no one likes ninja invites, need help? Ask first, recruiting chat tab is a good place to start.
rand0mname Posted May 2, 2017 Posted May 2, 2017 Well, going by the low number of sarcastic and mocking comments to this topic (and said topic just asks to be mocked thoroughly), WF players are actually pretty nice people (maybe too nice). Hey, some of them offered their help. Out of curiosity, what gaming community think it's perfectly fine to accept a blind invite from a stranger and lend a helping hand without knowing what said stranger wants and how long will it take?
Evanescent Posted May 2, 2017 Posted May 2, 2017 If you were spamming invites blindly then you'll have to sympathy from me. Blind invites are bad manners, and even on PC you will never get people to help you that way. Always ask before inviting. Otherwise, people will either get turned off and not help, troll you, or put you on their ignored list. There are people willing to help on the forums and in chat, ask for them.

Yup im not surprised back then when warframe use key system instead of relic. Public invite were massive. So new player are given more alternative instead of focusing on 1 thing. All you need is skill rather then relic resources. I admit that i myself was doing void run nonstop instead of star chart farm. So in the end i got a frost prime instead of vanila frost.
MrM1 Posted May 2, 2017 Posted May 2, 2017 Be happy Warframe isn't one of these real salt games, such as CS:GO, LoL and so on.

I did blind invites when I waited 45 after requesting so many times on recruiting tab. yes I'm fairly active. In a clan too they do the same thing, help them and then they had to go bed or some lame excuse. I'm a simple person. If you want to invite me to something, give me context as to what you want to do. I might be busy, I might say no, but I will consider what you want to achieve and try to help if I can, but if you don't tell me. I will have no idea what you're trying to do or why. For all the people knew, you could have been trying to get them to carry you through a 1 hour Index John Prodman poster run. Just ask people next time. And while I'm not familiar with ps4 recruit chat, make sure to put some context there too instead of just saying "need help". You're more likely to get messaged by people who are actually willing to help that way. Edited May 2, 2017 by Madway7

Yea, blind invites are never a good way to get people in your squad. :/ Everyone I know ignores and hates them. Personally I find that 9 times out of 10 it's some weirdo with a full squad fetish (thinks you can't run a mission without a full squad) who never says a single word, and even forces the timer so they can start without you knowing what the mission is in the first place. I got sick of dealing with people like that, so I never accept blind invites. TL;DR: just ask, blind invites are almost worse than no invites. Also your clan sucks, no offense, I recommend getting a new one.

Did you ask them before inviting them? Because random invites are annoying and I put those users on ignore for a bit. And this is coming from someone that spends a lot of time helping new players. Invite spam is just, uhg, so annoying.

Just a little tip: if youre searching for a not too big group of people to constantly play with then dont join a mountain/moon clan, its too big and the spam of messages and invites is indecent. Find a shadow/storm clan, not too many people but the right number to have a consistent team. Use recruiting chat to play fissures, ask people to taxi you to planets or alerts, the rest is simple. Trade chat is mostly scammers, so make sure to ask some friends for the price of an item before selling or buying.

That's not the Warframe community, that's the console community. You should play on PC.
PookieNumnums Posted May 2, 2017 Posted May 2, 2017 No one owes you anything. Join a decent clan and get them to help you. Stop sending random invites as they're almost NEVER accepted
Tesseract7777 Posted May 2, 2017 Posted May 2, 2017 I am sure he gets the message by now. After all, 29 people have now told him he shouldn't send blind invites.
