holyicon Posted May 2, 2017 Posted May 2, 2017 (edited) QUESTION: * Have you ever wanted to reorganize you Dojo because DE added a new room, and now your feng shui is ruined? * Did you plan your Dojo with the idea that certain rooms could fit near each other, but it turns out they cant? * Do you just want to refresh the look of your stale living accommodations and "kick it in a pimped out new crib" with minimal waiting? If you said yes to any of these; Sangraal Ind.'s Renovations (trademark error, not found) may be for you! PROPOSAL:Dojo Renovation is a User Interface that supplements and expands the existing Architect tools for the Dojo. This allows Clan Architects the ability to queue multiple new rooms, store unused rooms, recycle multiple rooms or completely reconfigure the dojo layout in the same time it would take to do any one of these tasks, without having to do it, one-room-at-a-time. HOW IT WORKS: Clan Architects will have a new Menu Item when they press Escape called "Dojo Renovation". The Dojo Renovation UI has 2 major areas: the Dojo Map, and the Rooms Tabs: "Build New", "Storage" and "Recycling". The Dojo Map can be scrolled using the Scroll Bars and the Floor you are viewing can be changed with the Floor Up and Floor Down buttons in the lower-right-hand corner of the Dojo Map. You may view the contents of the Rooms Tabs by clicking the tab name and narrow the display with the Search Bar above it. == Rearranging Rooms == The Architect may move rooms around on the Dojo Map by dragging them with the Left Mouse Button. Rooms may also be rotated 90 degrees at a time be clicking them with the Right Mouse Button. Changes you make to the Dojo are NOT in real-time. They will be Queued once the UI is closed. Moved/Rotated rooms will be highlighted in Cyan until Reconfiguration. Moved/Rotated rooms do not immediately need to be connected to any other rooms by a door or require their normal prerequisites. When you pres the EXIT button or press Escape the UI you will be prompted to "Begin Renovation Queue", "Continue Editing" or "Discard Changes". If you select "Begin Renovation Queue": A check is made to determine if your Dojo has the correct Rooms allocated. Such as Capacity, Power and Room Hierarchies. If the Dojo layout fails this check, you will be asked to "Continue Editing" or "Discard Changes". The Queue lasts Two (2) Hours and may NOT be rushed with Platinum. Once the Queue finishes the Dojo will reload with the new Reconfiguration; any players in the Dojo will be returned to the Spawn Point. At any time during the Queue you may reopen the Renovation UI and "Cancel" all changes in the Queue. The Cancel button will appear near the Exit button and show the time remaining in the Queue.Special: Dragging rooms from Recycling tab to the Storage Tab or Vise-Versa without placing them on the Dojo Map will NOT affect the Reconfiguration Queue. == Building New Rooms == New Rooms (from the FULL Dojo Catalog) may be dragged from Build New tab onto the Dojo Map. They may be rearranged as above. New rooms will be highlighted in Blue until they are "Built" even if they are Rearranged after being funded. New rooms do not immediately need to be connected to any other rooms by a door or require their normal prerequisites. After Reconfiguration, Clan Members may contribute to the new room's construction cost as normal. Rooms that are rearranged during the their construction process remember their resource contribution and build timer. == Storing Rooms == Rooms on the Dojo Map or in the Recycling tab may be dragged into the Storage tab. This removes them from the Dojo Map and from the Dojo after Reconfiguration, but instantly cancels the Destruction of that room. Rooms in Storage remember their Decorations and Resource Payments (including Platinum Rushes). Rooms in the Storage tab may be dragged onto the Dojo Map. Rooms added this way will be highlighted in Cyan along with a Cyan Arrow in the Storage tab that will indicate it is Queued to leave storage at Reconfiguration. Rooms added from storage will instantly have their Decorations restored at Reconfiguration. Unfinished rooms placed into storage will continue to build. (credit: (PS4)BlitzKeir) Clan Members may contribute resources/platinum to Stored, Unfinished rooms via a Clan Vault decoration. (credit: (PS4)BlitzKeir) == Recycling Rooms == Rooms on the Dojo Map or in the Storage tab may be dragged into the Recycling tab. This removes them from the Dojo Map and from the Dojo after Reconfiguration, but instantly removes it from Storage. Rooms in Recycling remember their Decorations and Resource Payments (including Platinum Rushes). Rooms Queued for Destruction from a Dojo Room Console are automatically put in the Recycling tab when the Renovation UI is opened. Once the Queue begins, it will suspend the Destruction of placed rooms until Reconfiguration. If the Destruction of a placed room is cancelled before Reconfiguration, it will be placed into Storage instead. Dear Customer, I hope you see the benefits of this system, and have constructive feedback if you see any (even potential) issues. As always, have fun out there, be kind to each other, but equally mean to those that oppose the Tenno! Edited May 3, 2017 by holyicon added tab icons and suggestions
(PSN)BlitzKeir Posted May 3, 2017 Posted May 3, 2017 Very similar to something I wrote up a long time ago. I'd like to make an addition, though. Rooms can be constructed without designating a position for them; any rooms owned by the clan that are not placed will be viewable in another UI, a manifestation of the invisible "Vault" where all our clan resources go. Ideally, resources could be donated directly to the Vault. DE wants a huge resource dump? Give us this feature, and they won't need to make exorbitant personal crafting costs anymore. Allow players to see the currently owned clan resources and donate directly, and hefty research costs won't seem so bad.
Kefka Posted May 3, 2017 Posted May 3, 2017 boy if only this were on Reddit so DE would see it lol, i'm so sorry DE i just had to make that comment please don't hate me XD
Shikai.Kanto Posted August 24, 2017 Posted August 24, 2017 (edited) I was googling about this, was hoping this was in the works. The community on Warframe never ceases to amaze me. Bump this post, please. Because you need to hire this man DE or make this happen. And I would gladly pay plat for this feature. This and can't wait for the open world experience on Plains of Eidolon. Kefka Posted September 28, 2017 Posted September 28, 2017 this and focus buddy to be implemented in the POE update! PLZ DE! XD
(XBOX)Nautil Ace Posted September 30, 2017 Posted September 30, 2017 Your introduction sounded like the beginning of a Billy Mays commercial, i like it! But as a devoted clan leader, and a strenuous architect in game. I'd truly love to see this feature implemented into the game, it would make my life a WHOLE lot easier. Please DE, here this man (or female) out!!!
Helios1414 Posted December 8, 2017 Posted December 8, 2017 (edited) my clan dojo is basically a big maze, I would like to re arrange the rooms without having to demolish everything and rebuild lol, also wanting an arsenal and navigation room in the dojo I know they probably cant have a navigation in a clan dojo because the dojo probably doesn't fly to each planet for one person so maybe a room your orbiter can attach directly to the dojo? holyicon Posted December 24, 2017 Author Posted December 24, 2017 Thanks for the kind words. Hopefully the work put into making obstacle customization will bear fruit in a system similar to this in the near future.
