Challenge of the lotus difficulty

Recommended Posts

Well.. Is there any part of warframe that is even challenging? There is minimal mechanical skill required to play all of the content in warframe. Most of it is just game knowledge and equipment.

IMO, warframe is just another mindless collection game much like adventure capitalist or lemonade tycoon - the only "rewarding" content is building things to acquire more things while playing in low level areas.

So to ask for a challenge from a game which has none of it would simply be asking too much.

Yea, it should totally make you start mission with a random frame, random weapons and random mods equipped as well as 2 random nightmare modifiers+friendly fire.

I would actually play a mode like this a lot, even without the friendly fire. It adds a level of uncertainty that PVE generally lacks, which drastically ups the replayability. Some effects exclusive to the game mode would be pretty cool too.

No. We should just start with our warframe having no mod in it and only a lato(or any starter weapons) that has no mod in it too, then proceed to fight level 120 juggernaut.

That isn't a challenge... That is being a masochist.

This is all fake difficulty

The most hilarious and over used  sentence.

You want real fake difficulty go look at Dark Souls and the other games those developers make (Like Armored Core). Those games have artificial difficulty as the enemies can forever spam heavy combo attacks, pull 180 spins mid attack and are capable of feats impossible for a player to ever do simply because "NPC".

And people would just restarting the mission until they get the easy mode frame and mission. This is not a challenge, this is just an RNG slot machine.

I unno.  I like warframe as is where it's a stats game with occasional enemies that require you to do a bit more than run them over.

To me the "challenge" has always been seeing how you can break/bend the game with certain combinations of mods or frames and weapons.

In the future if DE were going to make anything more difficult i'd appreciate a more puzzle like approach than a combat based one.

Being intakilled through multiple walls is somehow fair then?

You mean Dark Souls 2, easily the worst in the franchise.  DS3 has some of these elements as well, but not to the same extent.  DS1 did not.

I loved this challenge. During the waves I was bored silly but then, out of nowhere, I was being de-flowered by a 120 Juggernaut. I laughed, and sat up in my chair with a smile on my face.

Challenge accepted, DE.

They'd finally given us something to think about, and I went back to my arsenal and started coming up with a strategy to beat it.

Frames and weapons are tools to complete tasks and it's nice when are forced to think about how we are going to overcome a challenge rather than just being hamstrung by "you can only use this and this - oh, and no energy".

I look forward to more of these challenges.
