There are now a number of forced fire charge type weapons that have been added to the game. I wanted to suggest that DE add a charge cancel function. It would work as a cancel for charged weapons so that the player doesn't need to perform another action to cancel it (like a doge roll or quick melee). It could work by doing a quick double tap of the reload key (meaning that it should also be usable on console controllers without the need to map another button). Personally, I tend to tap the reload key if i need to cancel a shot from my Opticor, and when on a full mag this works fine. However, if the magazine isn't full, I obviously get stuck in the reload cycle and having to do another action to cancel it is clunky and can be a significant waste of time, especially if I'm aiming down scope and trying to keep a quick fire rate.

This could also be used as a general reload cancel for all weapons that use a magazine, as there are times when you may want to stop a partial reload if another enemy comes into view. It would just be a small QoL addition that I think could be useful.

it's much simpler to have Reload cancel Charging your Weapon, and simply not Reload it. if you did actually want to Reload it, press Reload twice. (note that this isn't a double tap or anything, just press it a second time. the distinction being that pressing Reload while Charging simply would not Reload, just cancel)

much simpler than introducing new functionality.
