Rekalty
So, does anyone actually do those 5,000 credit, 1 Control Module or 80 Endo Alerts? You don't have to answer, it was a rhetorical question. Rather than having those Alerts, let us have Resource Cache/Vault Alerts, that will primarily contain Credits, Resources (depending on which planet it's on) or Endo. Take some of those dead-end tilesets and turn them into vaults, filled with containers that have an overabundance of whichever kind of vault mission they are. Now, the easiest (but also most boring) way you could either have them still be regular missions, of which ever mission type they appear on, so the vaults are just an added bonus, effectively like caches work now, but contains a large pile of Credits/Resources/Endo. Or, you could turn them into a new mission type: Pillage / Acquisition (or some other fancy name), make it something like Spy missions. Mission will contain 2-4 vaults, you'll need to get to the vault without sounding the alarm, or the vaults will slowly go into lockdown, get in there and empty then, maybe hack/bypass some barriers to get to it, and have the spoils be given like caches, but you have to actually pick up the item, like you do with Stars/Medallions. This way people can't just get rewarded by waiting at spawn/outside the vault, all though getting to the cache once security has been disabled should be easy, so you're not rewarded for "just being there". The container will be Unknown at first, revealed once you've extracted. The requirement to get all of the loot before extracting shouldn't be there, if you fail them all, that's just too bad, no spoils earned from that Alert/mission, wait until another one appears. Still a bit of a work in progress, I just think we need to do something about worthless alerts.

So, literally Spy missions, but 100% more pointless to run in public? Sign me up. Alerts, as a whole, are already worth doing. They're optional missions that you do if you want, cycle some things that not everyone has -- if you've already forgotten, you didn't have 10k endo and 500k credits when you freshly start this game so it's a gift to new players who don't know how to get things, and can't do higher risk and reward missions -- and sometimes even give more experienced players a way to skip random chance, such as giving specific nightmare mods, orokin catalysts/reactors, and helmets. Yeah, I've been down this road before, suggesting alerts be revised, upgraded and streamlined to grant dynamic rewards based on planet, mission type and level. You will A) be ignored or B) be told alerts are mostly for new players and there's nothing wrong with them. But good luck.

Yeah, I know, worth a shot though, as much as I like features that are for new players, there's no reason to not have it be worth doing for veteran players as well. In particular when the reward is less that what you would get by just doing the mission normally.
