Why not creating a two-player-clan tier also? ... OK, so "why not creating a tier clan with [insert the number of member of your clan here] members?" isn't a very good question. Now, why would solo clan be a very bad idea? The behaviour you want to incentivize in a MMO coop game is: playing with other players. It's good to allow solo play, but it's not what you want to incentivize. Therefore, a two-player clan has to be at least as efficient as a solo clan, if not more efficient: it's better for the game if two player playing together create one clan instead of two solo clan. It means: resource requirement for solo clan cannot be lower than half the requirement for a ghost clan; otherwise it's better for two player to create two solo clan. Actually the resource requirement should probably be three-quarter of a ghost clan or more, so the two player have a real incentive to create a single clan. VKhaun Posted May 8, 2017 Share Posted May 8, 2017 (edited) Ghost clan is basically set up for solo. Event is fine. @ 12 nano's per mission I only need around 34 runs to do 400. For a week long event, that's only five runs a day. Realistically I'm pulling more like 20-30/run. I've been working 12hr shifts since the event started and I've still gotten to 225/400 in addition to sorties and other play time. Same thing with the research. Sometimes it seems really bad because people want to complete the research the same day it comes out, but if you spread the research time out over a week or two it's really not a big deal. I think mutagen samples were my only bottleneck because I wasn't on the whole ODD bandwagon back in the day, but most vets had giant piles of those sitting around. Subcomponents like fieldrons can be a PITA if you haven't built them ahead of time but clan research is released so slowly that it's no problem to maintain a stash of subcomponents between crafting and conflict rewards. Forma costs on building the rooms got excessive when I started but they've been good about not creating too many new/mandatory rooms. The clan rank thing could easily have been another room that took forma, but they were cool and made it cheap furniture.
