Just a reminder that the Ash rework fixed ZERO of the problems and we got an arguably weaker ability that costs wayyyy more energy now

I've always envisioned Blade Storm being an hold-to-expand/charge (meaning hold the power's button down and radius/damage expands to a certain point over time) type of ability that on release would throw out clones to attack targets

not for nothing this reminds me of the apple of Eden type thing in assassins creed where I don't remember his name would take out the apple and many afterimages of assassins would come in and strike down there enemy's :D

What if he got a skill based Stance Ultimate (that actually required to use the combos, not macro E or Slide attack and turn brain off) and KEPT the Cinematic chain-Finishing?

As long as it doesn't feel like just an exhalted melee weapon, I'd be okay with it. Something that feels like BS, but manually controlled would be awesome ... Not like a regular melee weapon.

That said, I'm ok with what we have now . Ash is not a horrible frame. I can't see DE going through the effort to rework a frame that does what he's supposed to do.

If anything, I'd prefer if they just made a new frame.

The "feel" depends on your interpretation, for me the problem of current exalted weapons is that they aren't interesting in playstyle, you just mash E or set a slide macro and call it a day. They have combos, yes, but they are worthless as they have no boon to add. The proposal I made, while it's also a Stance Ultimate, strays far away from the others, and actually gives back a manual BS as Finishers would make clones assisst in killing nearby targets whenever you do a Finisher. Combo that with Teleport and you get old BS back, just manually controlled. It's also more intersting as the 2 special combos are short, but very different from each other and serve different functions.

I say heck no to a world on fire clone move or another exhalted stance. I have Excalibur and Ember and don't need a clone. Ash is unique in the way his ult works. Leave it that way. These suggestions are horrible.

It would not be an Ember/WoF situation. Not at all. You're forgetting about the "marking" part of the "mark & execute".

You would still have to "mark" targets, and when you release 4 those targets that've been marked are executed with the clones. It's the same power as it is now, all current rules apply (such as energy costs), with the small but huge difference that you would be free to fire guns and jump around and whatnot, and that the enemies wouldn't be invincible while being executed.

It's not at all Ember's "toggle on/off for as long as desired".

Too OP? Nah, not really. Not more than other fun and useful warframes.

More fun? Definately!

Again, there is literally no reason why DE couldn't release Ash from his 4's fixed cameras.

One must wonder if Scott or any of the devs are purposely avoiding any threads concerning Ash's rework cause on the very thread they themselves put up as a feedback thread, there has been 0 replies from any staff member. I could be wrong but that entire thread is dead.

Here we are now, almost halfway 2017 and we still haven't heard anything, while i remember Scott himself said something about taking a look at it again and seeing what could be changed. Tho i appreciate this, why haven't we heard anything about this.

They knew that people didn't like it from day 1 just from the reactions the got from the first preview during the devstream. And if they didn't know, then they should've known, they should've known the majority of the Ash mains didn't like it cause it didn't fix the fact that we're still stuck in Ash's personal "cinematic quest" during the skill execution.

For people thinking i'm angry, i'm not...i'm just disappointed. Cause, had they taken the time, carefully looked at his ability and what was actually wrong with it and what needed to be fixed. And i'm not sure if they actually did that. That first concept Scott talked about, about it becoming like World on fire...basically becoming World of ninjas...that sounded interesting and i would've loved to see that, sure it sounded stupidly OP, but what isn't OP in this game.

maybe they feel like the majority of feedback is asking them to do far more than they feel is necessary- to the point where its not even feedback for Ash anymore, but a fan concept ninja frame. Like- i dont expect them to respond to a threead asking to give volt a lightening sword. Thats just not Volt.

That makes sense, but again, they could've taken their time with this, cause there are threads that do consist of ideas that sound sensible..on paper, idk how it would work in the game but that's why we call them "concepts". But this is a thing to think about: When you make players who main the ninja, dislike said ninja, in a ninja game, you've you're screwing yourself over.

(1): Give a combo counter to Teleport, that decreases cost with consecutive casts like Ripline.

(2): Either fix fatal teleport's bug of sometimes not performing finishers, or move Bladestorm's cutscene auto-finisher wrist-knife to Fatal Teleport augment so it always performs a finisher.

(3): Make a completely new 4th power because its redundant with Teleport/Fatal Teleport, especially with the combo counter that would reduce casting costs. Could be a Clone summon, I dunno.

Boom, better Ash. People that want to do BS can spam Fatal Teleport with no marking, and the cost would be cheap, especially with a 175% efficiency build. I would also change Shuriken and Smoke Screen to make him more unique, but that's not as pressing as this.

agree. +1

Hi, Trickst3rGawd. Thanks for the feedback!  We do read the forums to hear feedback from the community, so please continue to share your concerns there. We’ll have to wait and see what the Devs choose to do with Ash in the future.

Idk if this thread is still alive or not but i'll just throw this out there for you guys, an idea for his shuriken augment:

To start off the armor strip should just become part of the ability itself. That's just my personal opinion, or remove it completely from the ability...i don't really care for it all that much cause i don't really use the augment.

Now as for the augment, why not have it so that shuriken explodes on impact with an enemy, dealing fire procs and and having the ability actually be extremely handy to use against a group of enemies that's standing together.
